Note: To ensure proper axle alignment and suspension performance, leaf springs should always be replaced in pairs.
Leaf springs are an integral part of your trailer suspension system. The leaf springs provide the attachment points for your trailer's axle, suspending it from the frame of your trailer. Each spring flexes to absorb road shock as you travel, allowing the axle to move somewhat independently of the rest of your trailer. This helps to reduce wear and tear on the trailer and also ensures a smooth ride.
Slipper leaf springs attach to hangers that are welded onto your trailer. The eye of this spring will attach to the front hanger with a suspension bolt. The flat slipper end of the spring will slide into the rear hanger. If you have a tandem- or triple-axle trailer, the slipper end will slide into the equalizer that connects multiple springs. The shape of the slipper end of a leaf spring may vary slightly due to differences among trailer manufacturers. Because of this, it's important to check your leaf spring's slipper end before purchasing a replacement spring.
To mount this spring, you will need hangers, a suspension bolt, and possibly a spring keeper bolt, depending on the design of the rear hanger. If you are simply replacing a spring, you may still have hangers welded onto your trailer, but it would be wise to replace the bolts as they can experience wear. It is also recommended that you replace the other leaf spring in your setup at the same time. Because springs can sag and elongate as they wear, this new spring may not exactly match the old one, and the alignment of your trailer could be affected.
If you are fabricating a trailer, you will need to purchase a hanger kit for installation. To determine the type of hanger kit that you need, you must know the specific type of leaf spring that you have, as well as your axle capacity. Depending on the hanger kits used with them, springs can be configured to work for single-, tandem- or triple-axle applications. Hangers and other suspension components can also be purchased separately if there isn't a complete kit that works for your setup.

The packaging was a little deformed (weak box) by the time it got to me, but still intact and no damage to product.
Repurposed pop-up camper trailer used to haul kayaks. 2K springs that were on it were too stiff and too short (popping out of slipper keeper). These 1K, slightly longer springs were perfect!
The Slipper spring on a Calkins Trailer (23 yrs old) disintegrated and It took a while to find the replacement because Calkins in now defunct. The E trailer parts arrived in a few days . Everything went well except that the U bolt treads were too short so I had to jury-rig the second plate underneath so that the clamps tightened round the Axle and it is working fine. The first photos show Pre and Post the third photo shows that the axle itself is also corroded and though still strong, I reinforced it with Carbon fiber.

Have had these on the PWC trailer for about a year now. The springs are still firm and have shown no signs of rusting. The trailer is towing better too. Dollar for dollar this was the best upgrade Ive made to the trailer. Not at all disappointed at all by this purchase!

This was a hard to find spring from a HARBOR FREIGHT Chinese Trailer. IT WAS A LITTLE LONG BUT SHOULD WORK FINE. Was shipped fast and at a better rate than quoted. these guys are good. thanks for the service, Dale

works fine . I put these springs on a trailer I built to tow my motorcycle behind the car. The bike weighs 750lbs and the springs are rated at 1,000 per . with 14in tires it tows very well . great price and fast delivery... thanks
I'm building a light duty trailer for hauling a inflatable boat (100lbs) and outboard (100lbs). These light duty springs will be just about perfect for what I need. It was hard to find light duty trailer springs, seems like most online sites they all started at 2000LBs''
Works on my 14’ Jon boat trailer. Wish I would’ve went with a little stiffer/ stronger springs but these work great too!
OK, my bad ordering the first 2-leaf spring for my trailer and not realizing it wasn't for the set for both sides.
After calling back a second spring was there in 48 hours and that was with ups ground.

Repairing a small boat trailer and needed new springs and tires. I found these here and at good prices. Hopefully I won't have to do any more work on the trailer but if I do I will be looking here for parts.
Excellent product. The U-bolts fit the slipper springs nicely and were easy to install. I ended up not using the mounting plates as the plates welded to the existing axle matched the U-bolts.
Replaced the leafs on my mini trailer to 1k lbs springs. Rides so much better now, etrailer was a no hassle buy. Good prices, shipping and tracking. Thank you

Excellent spring for any properly rated trailer. I used the spring on my trailer for an inflatable boat. Worked perfectly and fix exactly. Also bought new u-bolts and plates.
Replacement springsMy husband purchased an old rusty boat trailer to work on for a winter project. He began taking it apart and found out a section of each spring was rusted and broken. Reasonable price, quick delivery, exact replacement for my sagged, rusted together leaf springs on an old trailer I'm putting back on the road. They are made in China. I didn't see that in the description. Perhaps cou try of origin needs to be included.

I’ve put a lot of miles on my trailer since replacing the springs. Not a single problem and the ones I got are better than the factory supplies ones that came with the trailer. Still very happy with my purchase!
