Video Transcript for Review of LubriMatic Lubricants Sealants Adhesives - Multi Purpose Lithium Grease - L11316

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a quick look at this LubriMatic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease. This lithium grease is suitable for many purposes, but it works best for chassis, universal joints, and any rolling parts. This is a long-lasting, hardworking formula, and it's going to give you high performance in a wide range of heavy-duty applications, so this will be great to have on hand around the home, the farm, and the shop. Now, this is about the same consistency as peanut butter, so it should keep that high viscosity even at high temperatures, and that'll prevent it from thinning out and melting down and possibly dripping off. So as you can see, this is a 16 ounce can, so it should give you enough to do a pretty good job of keeping everything lubed up like you need it. And as you see here at the top, it's a little pop top, so whenever you're ready to use it, you're just going to pull that back and then dispose of this lid, and then you'll have this plastic lid here to replace when you are done using this, and it'll keep the rest of the grease in that container fresh and ready for you to use the next time you need it.

Well, that's gonna conclude our quick look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.

  • Do Hand Winches Need Lubrication
I would recommend keeping the gears lightly lubricated for smooth operation. A light coating of multi-purpose grease like # L11316 would work great, although just about any grease you happened to have on hand would be acceptable.

  • Recommended Grease for a Yard Cart
Ball grease # 58117 could potentially work for wheel grease on your yard cart. But an actual bearing grease such as # L54FR would be the better option since it was designed for this type of application. Even an all purpose grease such as # L11316 would work. When adding new grease to the cart be sure that you use compatible grease with what was on it or completely remove all of the old grease prior to adding the new grease. I have included a link to a help article on grease for you.

  • Should There be Grease on the Jack Nut Plate When Rebuilding my Jack
Cool I did the videos on most of those replacements. I do not know why you had trouble with your nut. Generally there is grease there that prevents that from locking up on you. When reassembling it grease it up really well there is no harm that can come from giving it a good dose and it should last a very long time for you. A good all purpose grease like the LubriMatic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease part # L11316 is a good choice.

  • Possible Causes for a Yoke Style Hitch Coupler to Bind
As a first step I suggest you try using a lithium grease to lubricate the moving parts; you could try a grease such as part # L11316, LubriMatic, Multipurpose Lithium Grease - 16-oz Tub. Since the trailer in question has been used by a previous owner there is always the chance that there could be hidden wear on the internal components. Even in normal use these parts can wear and eventually need to be replaced. If an under-sized hitch ball was used (such as a 1-7/8 inch ball in a 2-inch...

  • What Info Is Needed to Pick Out Replacement Hubs for Trailer
I would need more info to pick out replacement hubs for your boat trailer. Since we know they are Dexters you could look for a part number on the hub somewhere. You could find the axle capacity on the axle tag, you could get me the diameter of the axle, or you can pull a hub and get me bearing numbers/dimensions of spindle where the bearings ride. If you can get me that info I can see what you'd need.

The Convert-A-Ball Multi-Cushioned Gooseneck Trailer Coupler # CG itself shouldn't be making any kind of creaking or popping noises when you're breaking and accelerating. The only way something like that would be possible is if the internal components failed and in that case they would be falling out of the bottom portion of the coupler, according to my contact at Convert-A-Ball. Based on the specs of your 2013 Keystone Sprinter, your GVWR is 10,995 lbs. So, I would guess that your axles are rated at 6000 lb. each, not 5200 lb. each.
