What To Lubricate for a Reese Patriot 5th Wheel Hitch
Question:
Is there a document that tells me where to lubricate various moving parts and surfaces on my Reese 18K Patriot 5th wheel hitch? TIA

Gary, that should all be outlined in the owner's manual for your Reese Patriot hitch. The grease fitting that is on top of the head unit on your Reese 5th Wheel Hitch is used to lubricate the pivot points of the jaws.
You can use a lithium grease like # L11354, for a lubricant. You're also going to want to lubricate the jaw itself, and the skid plate. For the skid place, if you want you can use a Lube Plate, # RP83001, or use automotive grade chassis grease like # L11316. You're going to want to make sure the hitch is lubricated and checked for proper function before each trip.

Thanks for the info Bryce. Unfortunately I don’t have my owner manual and couldn’t find it on Reese’s website.
