THE BEST TRAILER AXLE GREASE EVER!

by:

I keep buying from etrailer because their customer service just can't be beat.

by:

Upon inspection if receiving my recent order I noticed that the packaging was sub par at best. The box didn't seem to be visually damaged externally, however the inside told a different story I ordered 2 sets of electronic brakes. Some hardware and a tub of packing grease. If you see the pictures attached, everything was thrown into a massive box without proper packing material and some of the items show signs of shipping damage. Some brakes were out of alignment and the grease canister was smashed almost to the point or rupture. For such a big company I would expect a little more care to be given to the several hundred dollars worth of parts in my order.

by:

Packed my new trailer bearings. Looks and feels like good stuff. Shipped fast and complete!

by:

This arrived totally damaged but customer service is sending me a new can.

by:

Delivered on time. Although I have not installed the new brake shoes I'm confident they are exactly what I needed.

by:

Great customer service

by:

There were no part numbers on my utility trailer's bearings and the part numbers on the hubs were not matching anything I could find online. I called eTrailer and spoke with Ashley. She did a great job at mapping over exactly what new part numbers I needed and had them shipped out; she was super helpful and patient. Everything fits and is working perfectly with my new ST175/80/D13 wheels and tires on my 5x8 2000 Eagle Utility Trailer. Prices are good and service was excellent. If eTrailer should improve on anything it should be the packaging. One of the new hub dust covers was bent/dented but still usable. Still worth a 5 star rating!

Been towing that little trailer around for over a year with heavy loads and the parts I ordered/installed are holding up perfecty. Thanks again.

by:

Matched OEM perfectly

by:

Great product, and excellent service from you folks.

by:

have not repacked my wheel bearings yet,but looks like a quality grease with the proper rating for trailer axle bearings.

very high quality grease.is working great.

by:

Really high viscosity. Nice should hold up really well. Thanks.

by:

I'm giving this grease a high rating mainly because it is being sold/recommended by etrailer. I think the only truly valid evaluation of any lubricant would be in strictly controlled laboratory conditions, such as electron microscope examination of wear patterns on bearing surfaces, changes in axial and lateral tolerances after a given number of revolutions or elapsed time parameters, etc. Otherwise, improper installation protocols, like over- or under tightening of axle nuts, overloading of the bearings, worn and leaky seals, etc. could be the true causes of bearing failures. All I can report is that there was no evidence of viscosity inconsistency or difficulty in application.

by:

If you need wheel bearing grease this is for you

by:

Wheel Grease was as Expected.

by:

Not even 2 years after install all rusty. Electric brake pin broke due to rust.
Impossible To remove 4 bolt holding connector due To rust. I do not recommend

by:

time will tell if the grease is good.

by:

I was very happy with the bearing order. It was delivered at my shop about 1:00 PM the next day. The price was good and the PR was exemplary. I wish you could have cross referenced my bearing numbers to be able to identify the brake drum/hub. My neighborhood provider cross-referenced it within 15 seconds and sold me a pair of drums. He identified my axles providing me with the brand name and capacity. This may be a service you may want to research about providing your customers. In prior orders, you have provided great service and immediately corrected an error. I really appreciated that dependability. Thanks.

by:

Happy with product. Canister was damaged in shipment from being shipped in same box as heavy leaf springs, but etrailer quickly sent out replacement item ....free of charge!! GREAT customer service!!!!!

by:

Seems to be good grease. The important thing for me personally was that the support people at Etrailer educated me to learnt that there is a difference between bearing grease and HIGH Temperature bearing grease. They made sure I had the right product for repacking the bearing on my car trailer!!!

by:

Order arrived very quickly. Placed on Friday, arrived on Tuesday from Mo to Pa. Items were packed well and arrived in good condition. Upon initial inspection all items appear of good quality. Ordered tires, brakes with backing plates, hubs ,seals and grease. Haven't installed any items yet, but I am sure I will have no issues. Free shipping is a plus. Additionally unlike other free shipping offers that are out on the back burner for a week, order was processed and shipped promptly. I have recommended etrailer to friends and would highly recommend them to anyone.

by:

Good service and shipped quickly.
Easy
product to use. I just don't like the hand packing.
Hard to take a picture when your all greased up

For this follow up a year later, I need to pack the bearings again. Only thing I wish I had bought more so I dont have the down time of waiting. E-TRAILER is my source for parts for my trailer. Good price and delivery times.

Thanks for the great feedback, have fun packing the bearings.

by:

Excellent
the grease was used on the
trailer, it looks good but only miles will tell.
I am very happy with the service and phone call from the company. The call was to clarify my order. This is five orders over a few years.

by:

This wheel bearing grease worked fine for my Airstream trailer wheels.

by:

Grease can arrived in great condition. Applied to bearings well.
etrailer answered questions about which grease to purchase for
my trailer. Thank You etrailer.

  • Which Cotter Pins Does Bearing Kit BK2-100 Use?
I would be happy to help! First for extra cotter pins you will need the # 165649 which is what the # BK2-100 uses. I tried to cross reference the 680387 but it did not reference to any of the grease seals. The # BK2-100 includes a grease seal that has an I.D. of 1.719" and an O.D. of 2.565". You will need to use digital calipers like # PTW80157 to measure the spindle and hub of your Airstream to confirm which size grease seal you will need. If you find you need a different size grease...

  • Replacement Bearing Kit for a 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2800BH
The correct replacement wheel bearing kit or your 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2800BH should be the Bearing Kit for #84 Spindles part # BK2-100. This bearing kit comes with one L68149 inner bearing, one L44649 outer bearing, the corresponding races, a 10-19 grease seal, a tang washer, and a cotter pin. This will be everything that you need to rebuild the hubs on your Dexter 3,500 lb axle. You will need one kit per hub. Please note that in order to ensure you have the bearings properly greased...

Since the current bearing grease has to be removed during instillation the new bearing need to be packed. I recommend Prime Guard Wheel Bearing Hi-Temp Red Grease Item # L11380. • Replacement Trailer Hub and Drum and Brakes for AL-KO 8490 Axle
Based on what we could find, the AL-KO 8490 is a 3,500 lb axle, and your info stating the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and 10" x 2-1/4" drum size supports that as well. I do recommend verifying what you need by taking apart your current hub assembly and looking at the bearings themselves; wipe away the grease and you should be able to see the part number stamped directly on them. If you are unable to find them, you need to use a digital caliper and measure your spindle to the thousandths...

Thank you so much for sending the photo of your trailer ID plate. I am sorry to hear that your getting a 'Open Ground No Brakes' warning from your brake controller. Most often this is triggered when the brake controller loses connection to the battery ground. Since you have double checked all of your wiring, you may indeed need to replace your brake assemblies. • What Is Causing My Trailer Hubs To Overheat
There are a couple reasons to why this is happening to you. One reason may be that your castle nuts are tightened too tight or there is improper lubricant being used. You need to be using high temperature grease like # L11380. It also should be mentioned that it is not a good idea to mix grease types. It also could be a case of the hubs being overloaded leading to hubs being overheating. The last thing I would check is the brakes. If the drum pad is adjusted too high or if there is a...

The dealer was partially correct, you should re-grease your bearings once each year. This is considered standard maintenance for any trailer.
