The Rebellion XD ball mount features Curt's innovative ShockDrop technology, which is engineered to suppress vibrations and rattling while you're towing. It can even help limit sway. When you hit a bump, the ball mount compresses around the built-in, flexible polyurethane core. This durable material absorbs excess shock so that it doesn't transfer from the truck to your trailer or vice versa. The result is increased control and comfort as you tow, as well as less wear and tear on your towing setup.
Unlike other shock-absorbing systems, which use air bags that require constant monitoring or bearings that are subject to excessive wear, the Rebellion XD is nearly maintenance-free. And it's tested for thousands of cycles to ensure lasting efficiency.
The Rebellion is built with an adjustable shank that lets you raise or lower the ball platform to get the rise or drop that you need for your setup. No more swapping out ball mounts to tow different trailers.
To adjust the height of the Rebellion XD ball platform, remove the 2 stainless steel pins and clips and slide the platform along the shank to the desired position. Six positions allow for plenty of versatility so that you can use this ball mount with all of your towing setups. Re-insert the pins once you've found the correct height and replace the clips to secure them in place.

Rugged, textured finish resists rust.I think overall it is a good product but there are some annoyances. To begin with, this hitch is very heavy. The package weight was 75 pounds, but the main body is at least 50. I can manipulate it, but someone weaker may not be able to. Setting the ball is also a bit tricky with the stopper between the ball mount and the riser. I was able to use my body weight to get the stopper compressed and the pin in, but it was difficult. One suggestion might be to hitch the trailer with the pin out then use the tongue weight of the trailer to get the lower pin lined up. This will not be a good solution for being on the lowest position, but it works for all the others.
My other annoyance is it really messes up the back up camera and proximity sensor. Yes, I know I can disable the sensor, but the camera can't be moved which makes hitching alone a bit more annoying. I feel like there is a more elegant design so that there is not a bulge at the top of the riser, but I can't say for sure.
It’s a beast! Installed it n pulled my dump trailer no more rattling jerking nosies etc, wish it was 20lbs lighter my only complaint,
The locks could be better I won’t be leaving the hitch installed, the locks are light weight n I believe a hammer will break them off, curt needs to use steel or stainless steel for the locks ( body of locks)

Thank you etrailer for this great hitch! I did some research on this hitch and etrailer had the product in stock, and offered free shipping. I ordered the product on a Monday evening and received the product on a Wednesday afternoon. That is 1 day sooner than I was told. [online vendor] offered this product,but wanted $[XX] for shipping and wouldn't be shipped until 8/20/21. This hitch tows my 16 foot 14,000 pound dump trailer with zero problems, and as smooth as butter. Thank you etrailer!

Product works great, makes for a ride while towing.
It is huge and impressive looking. I haven’t seen the benifits from the cush, but then again, we haven’t really had a heavy load on it yet.
One downside is that it sticks so far out from bumper, that it activates the proximity sensors on the bumper. If you remove the ball from hitch it goes away. But

It is possible to disengage the proximity sensor in the vehicle information menus however you would need to disengage it every time the engine is turned on.
Love the hitch! it didn’t come with the pin… that was disappointing for the price.
The finish is not the best and and is already flaking and discolored…
Over all I’m glad that I have it…. I feel that the finish is on the low side compared to the Curt brand we all have know to love. I should probably see if I can send it back… maybe I just got a bad powder coat batch…
Shank fits loose and rattles in the receiver, Very Heavy, Looks Great and adds an excellent step for getting into the bed of my truck, the ball height adjustment increments (about 1") was helpful for getting just the right drop. the 13" distance from center of ball to center of pin is perfect for allowing me to be able to put the tall gate down without it hitting the tongue jack on my trailers. But way to heavy -- Please tell Curt to make a downsized version, maybe they could limit the drop to max of 6" and do a weight limit of 15K -- TOO Heavy now, I need to hire Charlie Atlas just to move it around and the UPS driver struggled to get it to our door.....
This thing is a beast! Don't underestimate its size and weight, you aren't gonna hang this on a nail in your garage when not in use. I need the adjustment range, though it is more hitch capacity than I need currently. Knowing it will handle anything that might come up makes it worth it. Also, it's the first shock absorbing hitch I've owned and never knew what I was missing...Awesome.
