If you're looking for something made in the USA, I'd recommend a Gen-Y shock absorbing ball mount for a 2-1/2 inch receiver like # 325-GH-514 which provides up to a 7-1/2 inch rise or drop. The Gen-Y # 325-GH-1125 offers a large 16K capacity featuring a stacked receiver design that's easy to adjust for height. The ball mount can also accept 2 inch hitch accessories, which is pretty convenient.
