Video Transcript for Review of STKR Concepts Work Lights - FLi PRO Telescoping Light - RR24XP

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this FLi-PRO Telescoping Light. I really like this. This is gonna be a great option if you are camping or if you are just enjoying the backyard after dark. This is going to provide a whole lot of light for you. It's also very versatile.

It can be used as a flashlight, as an indoor lantern, all sorts of applications for it. So when you have it at its fully extended height it's up to about 8 feet tall. Now I'm a pretty tall guy. I'm about 6'3 so obviously I can reach the top there but if you aren't as tall as I am they do include a remote for you so that you can operate the light from up to 15 feet away. So you've got control over that so you can very easily turn it on.

This is the primary function, so the white light there. If I turn off the lights in my studio you can see this does have 360 degrees of light and that light is going to spread out about 40 feet in diameter, so about 20 feet on each side. So it is gonna fill up a nice large space, give you plenty of light. It's kind of hard to see on my camera I'm sure but I feel like I can see just fine in here. If I we're barbecuing or doing any sort of work around here I'd be able to see without any problems.

It also has the red light mode. So red light obviously doesn't dilate the human eye as much so if you're still wanting to be able to see better in the dark, you can use that red light mode and make sure that your eyes are still gonna be able to see in the dark there. So the telescoping pole it is a reinforced fiberglass construction so it is gonna be very durable but also very lightweight. We can set the height wherever we would like. These are just tension fittings here.

So we can easily get those set up to where we want up to about 8 feet tall and we can very easily retract it back down into the base. Get a little bit closer here for you so you can see some of the finer details of this. So our tripod legs here are going to allow us to have a nice solid base. We do have this ball fitting here so that we can accommodate different terrains. So if we're gonna be on a very uneven surface we can easily set that on the bottom. We also have these stakes that will pull out. So if we want to get even more control in sand or dirt and we can drive those stakes in make sure that it's not gonna blow over in the wind and that sort of thing. One of the really nice things about this is that the top does come off, it's a magnetic fitting so it fits on there very easily. But then we can use this as a flashlight. So if I turn off the lights in my studio again you can see this is gonna be a nice bright light that's going to give us far reaching light. So if we we're to need to go off the trail or into the woods that sort of thing away from our stand, we can easily use that flashlight functionality there. This is also going to have integrated hooks on it. So we can set this up in our tent if we're wanting to use this as a lantern. We can set that on our tent. This also with the magnetic capability on the bottom we can either hook this or use the magnetic portion there so that we can have a hands free application. So you can see that magnetic functionality. So if we're wanting to work on our vehicle, lift up the hood, either hook it in place or use that magnet to have hands free lighting for us so that we can use our hands to work on the vehicle and that sort of thing. So there are several different light functions to this. We've got our flashlight there, we've got our lantern setting, we've got the flashlight and lantern setting. We've got that red light that I showed earlier. We've also got a strobing red light for a emergency kind of situation indicator, grab people's attention or we've got the lantern with the flashing red light. So several different options with that. You control that with the button there on the side. You can see that's also going to be your power indicator. So it's gonna be green if you've got a full battery or a well charged battery. And then there's different indicators to let you know how much power there is. This does have a 4,000 milliamp hour lithium ion rechargeable battery. They do include a rechargeable option here for you your system to plug into the wall. It's a very easy to access that USB-C connection. Just plug that in, plug it into your wall and recharge it. Be ready to go for your next adventure. The remote, give you a little closeup on that. So we've got our power button there in the center. So that will turn it on. That will also switch to your your lantern with the strobing red lights or we can switch to the mode option. That's gonna give you your red lantern lights or strobing red lights. When we have it on the lantern mode, we can also turn on the flashlight there with that top button turn the flashlight on and off or we can increase or decrease the brightness of the light. So if I turn off the lights here in my studio you might be able to see that a little bit better. And then when it gets to the lowest level it'll flash like that and then we can bring it back up to a brighter setting. And again, when it reaches the max level it'll flash like that to let you know that it's at the highest level it can go to. So really, really nice option here. Giving you a lot of versatility. So you can use this in your tent, on the trail, or just outside to give you more light at your campsite. And if you're gonna be working on your bike or something like that on the trail, can set this up give yourself plenty of light to see what you're working on. It is very lightweight. It's capable of being very compact. So we can very easily packed this up. They do include a bag here for us so we can pack all of our components up here. They do have a zippered pocket on the inside so we can easily put our different components together. I did forget to point out that the remote is magnetic as well so it can just fit on the bottom of your tripod there. So very easy to keep track of that. Pack that all up. It weighs under two pounds, so it's not gonna take up much room or be very heavy for you to take along with you. When we have it all put together like this, it's just under oh, right about a foot and a half. If we have everything packed in place, by about, I'm gonna say no more than 3 inches wide or 3 inches tall. So very compact, like I said, only about two pounds I say it will not take up much room or add much weight to your setup and then very easy to pull out, get that tripod extended, pull out your light and you're ready to go. So then you can set the height, whatever you want it to be. Get that all pulled out, like so, those fittings there are going to give you a nice sturdy connection. So like I said, the pole is a reinforced fiberglass. The tripod base is aluminum, and so that's where we're getting our sturdy construction with that lightweight option for us. Come back over here and you can see just how easy it is to get this all set up, get those pulled out into place so they're nice and sturdy. Make sure our feet are down, take that remote off, have our light ready to go. So again, this is a really nice option. I like this a lot. I think it's gonna serve all sorts of applications giving you lots of versatility whether you're wanting to be outside, sitting around a fire but having that extra light. Or if you want to take it inside into your tent, have a little lantern inside or use that flashlight function. There's a lot that you can do with this. It's really well built, built to withstand the elements although this can act as a lightning rod. So if there is inclement weather definitely want to take it down, get away from it that sort of thing so that you don't risk electrocution but it is built to hold up to your rain and that sort of thing. So overall, really nice option here. If you are wanting a outdoor light this is gonna give you quite a bit of working space to deal with. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

Needs larger rechargable battery…for longer light hours.

by:

Light is bright and easy to set up. Not sure how stable it will be if windt, but we will find out.

by:

Whole thing is flimsy except the light itself. Legs won't stay in position, gimble won't stay in position, shaft is way too flexible. Save your money.
