Service from eTrailer was great, they even wrote to ensure I got the order correct when I ordered a different size hitch cover than the drawbar that I ordered. Picture attached of the somewhat unique application for the Euro style setup I’m using – I’m dragging my race tires to racing events with my 750HP Cobra!

by:

Excellent fitment and gives my trailer a level stance.

by:

Good product and good price, thanks etr ailer

by:

After speaking with an etrailer phone rep, I did some measuring and opted for this Curt Euro-style drawbar. It looks good on my 2018 Kia Niro, and gets the ball height up 2" and back 3" from where my old ball mount was (much too close to license plate and trailer a bit low in front). For my car, it's the perfect match with the Curt trailer hitch.

Still perfect, looks and works great.

by:

Works great and I like the smaller European profile.

by:

I can see why people usually buy the generic hitch risers or droppers that you can screw different size balls onto but this riser/ball looks and works so much better and I bet 90% of people never change out the ball anyway. I purchased the 1-7/8" but later needed a 2" as well, now have two separate risers and wouldn't have it any other way. One year now and no rust or major wear.

by:

I purchased a 2 inch ball model about a year ago and I have used it several times, I recently bought a new trailer and needed a 1? ball so I knew who to go to without hesitation. I like how the euro style drawbar hugs the shape of my vehicle (Dodge Dart) and has a clean look, doesn't look like a typical clunky hitch. Etrailer is fast, friendly and knowledgeable and I will continue to use them!

by:

Solid bar construction not hollow. Powdercoating or paint (can't tell) doesn't scratch easily. I tend to destruction test most of my hitches for some reason, tossed on the ground, garage, shelf, trunk etc. Does the job and the rise is enough to keep most of my trailers flat which I prefer to the slightly tilted. Drawbar is used on a 2002 VW Jetta.

by:

Love it.
I have had hitch balls in the
past on my Jeep and always worried about the nut coming loose. I love this euro style design.

by:

Exactly what I needed for my small cargo trailer behind my Mustang. Just the perfect rise. Catalog information was extremely useful and informative in finding the right drawbar.

by:

Looks good on my car. Solid shaft not hollow on 1 7/8 in. Very sturdy construction. About 1.5 inch more rise than expected. Looks better on the car than a normal hitch.

by:

Perfect fit/height/length. Solid and strong. I always put 2 bands of electrical tape (before and after) the pin hole to take up any slop and noise when going over bumps/giggling.

by:

These are super cool. Seen them quite a bit overseas, but for whatever reason they're a bit hard to find here (at least in retail stores). They're perfect for low-sitting cars like mine. Definitely glad I got one.

by:

Awesome for use with a curt hitch on a 2013 Taurus.

by:

Easy installation, everything lined up great.

by:

Clean and simple. Got one of each size for a 2013 VW Beetle convertible. Is precisely the correct size, height, etc.

Works great and easy to store away. Only issue is the chrome plating started flaking off after the first use. But has just about finally come completely off. But still functions fine.

by:

I received my order well before expected! The product although not yet installed is exactly what I expected. For the price and free shipping on top of it all, Top Notch Gentlemen!

by:

works great with hitch and stows easily

Works perfect for this situation.

  • Availability of Euro-Style Ball Mount for Curt Class I Hitch Installed on 2009 Toyota Carolla
The Curt # C45561 Euro-Style ball mount you referenced is exactly what you'll need. The ball mount will work fine with your # C11265 Class I hitch once it's installed. Keep in mind that the ball mount carries a 3500 lb towing/350 lbs tongue weight rating, but that your hitch is only rated for 2000 lbs towing/ 200 lbs tongue weight. Because of that difference in capacity between the hitch and the ball mount, you'll need to abide by the rating of the lower rated component, which would be...

We do have 50mm hitch ball # EH53C-C so all you will need now is a ball mount that fits the 2 inch receiver on your 2016 Chrysler Town & Country. Since the trailer hitches are close to the ground on vans I recommend a ball mount with some rise in it such as Draw-Tite ball mount # 40346. The electrical is a little more complicated but the good news is that you don't have to have lights on a bike rack in the US. But if you want them to function then an adapter will need to be made since...

I have attached installation instructions for you. If you are planning on doing some light-weight towing, the ball mounts recommend for use with the # C11701 hitch are # C45562, # C45017, and # C45561. For trailer wiring, you will want to see your local Mercedes-Benz dealer.

You will want to use a light trailer like...

The Curt hitch part # C11083 has been confirmed as a fit for your 2001 Volkswagen Jetta Wagon and would have the capacity to tow a trailer as long as it weighed less than 2,000 lbs. You will need to check the owners manual of your vehicle to make sure that it also has the needed capacity to tow your Jet Ski trailer. For a 1-7/8 inch ball mount you would want the part # C45561 or for a 2 inch ball mount # C45562. For trailer wiring you would then want the part # C56175.

Looking at the picture you sent in of your motorcycle trailer it would pretty easily weigh less than the 2,000 lb capacity of the Curt Hitch part # C11474 that is a confirmed fit for your 2016 Volkswagen Jetta. You probably have about 400 lbs of dirt bikes and the trailer probably only weighs a few hundred lbs as well. The least visible hitch we have for your 2016 Dodge Charger Scat Pack is going to be the Draw Tite # 36548 that you referenced. This hitch has a 1-1/4 inch opening which would be smaller than the 2 inch hitches and due to it's safety chain loop design would be less visible than the Draw Tite. For your 2022 Kia Soul, as long as it's not the 1.6L Turbo model, I highly recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch # DT25GR. This is because it offers a 2" receiver which will open the door up to many more options when it comes to hitch-mounted accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier.
