I just received this hitch and am immediately impressed. It is very sleek and well made. My trailer and vehicle look great with it - much less bulky than traditional hitch ball assembly. A nice feature is clear labeling with ball size on top of ball. Looks like it will hold up but I have not used to tow yet.

excellent build quality. I already have one on another car, and that one has weathered well. Looks much cleaner than conventional ball mount with bolt on ball. Note It is fairly long, compared to the shortest available conventional ball mount.

I am pretty sure you mean to type 2016 Escape, but yes the Curt Hitch part # C12111 has been confirmed as a fit for all models of the 2016 Ford Escape so it would work well on your S model. Best option would be a ball mount that fits your Class II hitch directly and not to use a hitch adapter as they cut the capacity of the hitch by 50 percent. We have the Euro style Class II ball mount with part # C45551 which has a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball and a 2-3/4 inch rise. There is a special circumstance when using a Class I trailer hitch for towing. Basically you will have to use the ball mount specified by the hitch manufacturer or it can void the warranty. What Happens to Center Reverse Light When Hitch is Installed on a 2004 Mini Cooper
The rear center light of your 2004 Mini Cooper will need to be removed to install the Curt hitch part # C11126. The hole where the light was is where the hitch opening will come out. I spoke with my contact at Curt manufacturing and the Curt Euro Style Drawbar with 2-3/4 inch Rise, item # C45551, would be the correct Euro style ball mount for your Mini Cooper S.
