Use this axle strap to tie down a vehicle to the bed of a trailer. The strap loops around the axle and then attaches to a ratchet. Extra protective wear material offers additional protection to prolong the life of the strap. 10,000 lbs max load.

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Today we'll be taking a look at the Erickson Axle Strap with D-Rings. This is rated at 10,000 pounds. Part number is 88509. This strap is 2 inches wide, 24 inches long. It has a safe working limit of 3300 pounds. The heavy duty stitching is going to help ensure your vehicle stays in place.
As you can see here, we've got our UTV all loaded up, just need to get it secured to the trailer. Now we're just going to bring this around, in our case, the control arm on our UTV. That could just as easily be the axle on a vehicle or truck. We're going to take our hook right onto the D-ring there, and then we'll just cinch it down. As you can see we've got a nice secure hold on our UTV here.
We're going to be able to go down the road with confidence knowing that we've got it secured properly. Now we'll head over to the other side, get it secured just the same as we did here. That will complete today's look at the Erickson Axle Strap, part number 88509. .

Those Erickson axle straps are pretty good, as I use 1 set of 4 per year.
I am a hobbyist, hauling light European sports cars around to/from : upholsterers, paint & body shops, delivering from what has been sold or I pick up a new acquisition and distribute them over the 4 storing facilities.
My next purchase of straps and tie-downs will again be from Erickson.
The strap stretches after securing your load. It became frustrating when you are hauling a very expensive tractor.
These straps always make it easy to tie down just about any vehicle I haul. I ordered 2 more because I used 2 to hang a swing on a tree limb for my grandkids. Strong and will not damage tree limb. Multi purpose straps!!!
Love these for going around axles on hauled cars. easier to get on and keeps straps out of harms way on the undercarriage. also use it with the winch to pull vehicles up on trailer. works great and keeps the winch cable from wrapping around stuff.
I didn't use my strap as would normally be the case. I used mine to help support a Bismarck Pine that was having a problem with wind. The Erickson strap has been out in the weather for a year now, and looks as good as new. The Bismarck Palm is doing great as well. For the record, I also have several of these straps to tie my Ford Model T down to the trailer floor; they work well too.
I choose this product to tie-down a car on a trailer. The wheels had opens which the straps could pass through then oval shaped threaded connecting links were used to connect the rings on the strap and a tie-down strap passed through the links on the two front wheels and a strap passed through the links on the two back wheels. The tie-down straps were connected to the trailer ahead and behind the car, tighten with ratchet, held the car in position.
I've used this a few times to tie-down my car to the trailer. Nice axle strap for the price. I only wish they made it in a 36" length so I could loop it through my wheels and tie it down there.
I have owned this strap for about a year. I use it to tie down a race car in an enclosed trailer. The strap works great, has not frayed, and the buckles are still tight. This is a well made product that I expect will I will be using many years from now!
The straps seem to be of good quality. I haven’t used them yet, but I plan on using them for when I’m hauling vehicles on my gooseneck trailer. I only gave the straps a 4 star rating b/c I haven’t used them yet.
I received my package in a timely manner and everything was packaged nicely. I have had good luck so far with using Etrailer.com and would recommend them to anyone.

The product works well and as described. We use them to tie down restored tractors for tractor shows so this worked nicely and the tractors don't get scratched up. We would recommend this product.
Great strap, use to hold down the Jeep on my aluminum trailer. Easy to use and they keep from marring up the axle with a chain.
Haven't had a chance to use the product yet for the fact I just received it yesterday...looking at the unit it is as advertised and the quality seems to be good. The strap is of good quality, will see how it performs hauling a 1939 business coup from Maine to York PA.

Great service, just received the straps and Axle Ratchets, yesterday after ordering them on Tuesday and delivering them on Thursday super fact service.. Going to haul our 67 Nov to Hot August Nights next week and will be using the straps to secure our car to the D Rings in the Trailer.
These straps are good quality and rightly priced. They work well as axle straps. Be aware, at 24" long, they are not long enough to use as through-the-wheel straps for any normal modern car.
I have another strap like tis that I've used for several years now. I'm switching trailers and needed another strap so I didn't hesitate to order another one. They are well made straps and the cover is very tough and durable. If you need an axle strap this is an excellent product and it's offered in various lengths. The cover is worth a little extra. Etrailer's service and shipping was excellent as usual.
Easy to use with the ratchet tie down straps with the metal hooks.
These were just what I needed to tie down my jeep on the trailer.
