Note: Tie-down straps and their accessories must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the etrailer 24 inch long axle strap with the D rings. And this has a 3,333 pound working load limit. This is for a quantity of one strap. Now you'll use this axle strap to tie down a vehicle to the bed of your trailer. Basically, when you're trailering a vehicle you wanna make sure and secure it to the trailer.
And one of the best ways to do that is using these axle straps on the underside of the vehicle. Since there's no good tie down points on the underside of the vehicle, these axle straps will loop around your axle and then they attach to a ratchet strap to hold the vehicle in place. Now it is recommended to use two axle straps per axle. Now this will also work with most ratcheting tie down straps. Now, the ratcheting straps we do sell separately on our website.
Nice feature on these, if you look closely, they do use the flat D rings which will attach directly to your ratcheting strap hook. And because they're flat and very thin they'll make it easy to feed under your brake line or through any other tight spaces. Now the webbing on the strap you can see is a two-inch wide durable polyester webbing, similar to a seatbelt webbing, very durable, abrasion resistant. And if you notice the protective sleeve here that goes over the full length of your strap this will prevent excessive wear on the strap itself. Now this is for a quantity of one axle strap.
The dimensions again is two inches wide, 24 inches long. Now the maximum load or break strength on this strap is 10,000 pounds but you'll want to be more interested in the safe working load limit which is always a third of the break strength. So this working load limit on this strap is 3,333 pounds. Now tie down straps and their accessories must be chosen according to the safe working load limit. Basically, the weight of your secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps that are being used.
So just to give you an example, if you're using straps with the working load limit of 500 pounds each, to tie down a load weighing a thousand pounds and you're gonna need at least two straps to safely secure that load. Now it is always recommended to use straps in pairs. Now this part number is for one strap. It is also, we do also sell this available on a quantity of two straps, and that's part number E74PR. And this is a 24 inch length. We do also sell these straps in 36 inch length. If you need a quantity of one it'd be E64BR, if you need a quantity of two E84PR. And those parts are all listed on this product page as a related product. But that should do it for the review on the etrailer 24 inch long axle strap with the D rings and has a 3,333 pound working load limit.
