Use this axle strap to tie down a vehicle to the bed of a trailer. The strap loops around the axle and then attaches to a ratchet. 10,000 lbs max load.

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson Car Tie Down Kit. This kit includes a 2 x 7 ratchet strap, part number 08504-05. It offers twisted flat hooks and also has an axle strap which makes it very easy to secure your vehicle, UTV or ATV to a trailer or bed of a truck. As you can see the ratchet strap is made of very heavy-duty construction. This strap itself has extremely heavy stitching on it. It's going to help hold up over time. This gives our strap a 10,000 break capacity and a safe working load limit of 3,300 pounds. The twisted flat hooks help to keep the strap straight and flat and the latches will help hold them on to our connection point while you're hooking up your other strap. As you can see today we're going to be securing our UTV.
These things are getting really big lately; they really need good sturdy tie downs to hold them onto a trailer. These can also be used to secure cars and trucks with their 10,000 pound break limit and their 3,300 pound safe working load limit. To secure our UTV we'll bring the axle strap around our connection point and hook in our twisted flat hook. We'll now take the other end of our strap, we're going to bring it through the middle and back out the top. Make our second connection point on our trailer, pull out the slack and then ratchet it down. By pulling the lever in the middle and moving our handle all the way down, it's actually going to lock it in the down position making it safe to travel. If we want to we can secure our excess strap underneath this handle before we lock it down to hold it in place.
Now all we've got left to do is secure our other side and we can get heading down the road. That will complete today's look at the Erickson Car Tie Down Kit, part number 08504-05, featuring the ratchet strap part number 08504 and the axle strap part number 58505. .

Awesome tie down kit I bought for trailering my Jeep behind my RV on a car hauler trailer ! I also tie down my UTV side by side with the same set love it ! Use when securing my race car to my trailer. Much easier than attempting to hook snap hooks onto pockets on side of trailer.

These work great.
These straps work great due to my trailer not having tie down points but a 2"x 2" square rail on the front and sides. I have had a couple of times I could have used another set. I definitely recommend these straps if conditions warranted them.

Excelent product
Wish I would have had these years ago, one of the best straps I have every purchased. More uses than I can mention and perfect for around the front axle as i winch a vehicle, no damage from the strap and I can wrap it around pretty much anything.
Quality built. I wrap it through the rear tire/rim of the CanAm Spyder and secure with ratchet straps. Works perfect

Straps work good for everything I am a hunting guide use strap around game animals neck to hoist up with winch onto Jeep to haul back to camp for processing
Good product. For my uses I've found that the axle straps with the protected cover and in longer lengths work better. I've also used these with my winch as a strap and they worked well in that application.
Like the heavy duty ratchet straps, they are built well and made for convenience to do a demanding job. I always get value for the money I spend at Etrailer.
I have not used these axle straps yet, but seem good quality. The shipping was extremely quick, next day with standard UPS ground to my area. Will be used to tie down my Yamaha Rhino and a Jeep Liberty on an 18' car hauler.

Strong little straps to speed up the loading process. Very well made, more strength than I needed but not bad to know they arent coming apart on the road. e trailer has every size and width you may need.

This has been working great. Protects the finish on my axle as I use it to anchor my SXS to the trailer.

Thanks for the follow up , I Think the ratchet tie downs and straps are still the greatest thing going !!! Also Im not sure if I mentioned last year how much I liked the video that was on your etrailer site that showed exactly how to use them to hold a real vehicle to a car hauler trailer like mine .
