Great straps

by:

I use it daily to hold down my race truck on my trailer. Easy to use and excellent strength and holding power highly
Recommend to anyone looking for a quality racket strap

by:

I ordered these axle ratcheting straps a year ago. I had been looking for the wheel straps that secure over vehicle tires, but was having a hard time finding ones to fit 35" tires, so I decided to try these, since they can be used on a variety of vehicles, regardless of wheel size. Prior to purchase, I watched the etrailer video about them, and was convinced they were exactly what I needed.

I've since used them to secure pickup trucks and cars on my trailer with zero issues. The carry bag they come in is excellent, and there's enough room in it for me to stow a couple extra tow-straps and shackles as well.

I don't have any complaints about them. They're heavy-duty, well made, reasonably priced when I bought them, and work as advertised. I would definitely buy them again, but I think they're going to last me quite some time.

by:

Excellent quality, great value

by:

The strap stretches after securing your load. It became frustrating when you are hauling a very expensive tractor.

by:

Good quality, fast shipping, no complai nts

by:

These are exactly as advertised. I feel secure when my car or utility tractor is loaded on my trailer

by:

Solid product, we race from Ohio to Florida and the product has held up great.

by:

Very sturdy stuff… I have yet to try the straps, but they’re clearly of top quality and far stronger than they need to be. I bought these to tie a motorcycle down in the back of my van and I wanted something that would restrain the bike in the event of an accident. The snap-closure hooks will assure that the straps wont release from the truck’s d-rings, the straps are super-heavy, and the wrap-around feature will not release from the motorcycle. Bag for holding the straps when not in use is also very well constructed.

These work very well for my application.

by:

Used these over the weekend and was very happy with the straps. Trailer was a 24’ enclosed and moved 2 1st gen Camaros and they were perfect length and held very well. Good product and would recommend them.

I ordered the Bulldog Winch Combo Axle/Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps in preparation for a trip out to Colorado at the end of the Summer. I am planning on pulling my Jeep out there, just in case I break something. A few days after these arrived I actually got a chance to use them, having to tow my father's truck to get repaired. These were easy to loop around the axles and clip to the 4 D-rings on the trailer. Ratcheting them down tight was easy and pulled all 4 corners tight. The truck did not move the whole time I was towing it. Great product, nice to have the bag to store them in, organizing the trailer box.

I would have to say, after a years worth of use, these have been well worth the purchase. I have secured my Jeep numerous times and a few other vehicles as well. These straps are easy to use, hold the vehicles securely, and store great in the supplied bag.

by:

I've used this product over and over and they have never failed me I'm so glad I went with the professional grade tie downs ! And etrailer is the best place to make your purchase ! Thanks Jeffb

Excellent

Thanks for the follow up , I Think the ratchet tie downs and straps are still the greatest thing going !!! Also Im not sure if I mentioned last year how much I liked the video that was on your etrailer site that showed exactly how to use them to hold a real vehicle to a car hauler trailer like mine . Thanks again

by:

Very nice straps. Heavy duty with large handles to ratchet. I like the hooks near the handles so you don't have to bring the long end all the way back to the hook. Much easier to use than any other straps we have owned.

These straps are still working great. I have kept the cushion part around the axle when we tie down and no fraying or wear of any kind. Very high quality.

by:

i have only used them twice. they worked great. april 2021 ,we drove from kc to lake of the ozarks to pick up my 13 yr oid grandsons 1953 willys cj3b that his uncle have give him. uncle bob and had completely restored this in 2004 to 2008.it has less than 1200 miles.bob and lynda has no kids and of all the nieces and nephews they gave to him. my trailer has a nice winch that we used to pull it out of the shop its has been stored a couple of years and battery was dead and fuel tank drained.uncle bob brought chains and boomers out, i grabbed the bag of ratchet straps.was they all impressed with the straps.after receiving such a jeep ,no way i was using any thing else.we made a stop in clinton mo on the way home and of course people had to come check it out . one guy noticed the straps and asked where i bought them.he said he was going to buy some for his cars .he liked how they were adjustable instead of using the 20 ft straps .great product

by:

This tie down set with bag works out well for my needs. I use these on my rat rod pick up on an open car hauler and I have hauled 500 miles and straps stayed TIGHT !! Personal I think it is important that the straps are tightened correctly. I know guys that don't tighten the straps correctly and they blame the strap. The ratchets work nice and smoothly. I have about 6 to 8 weeks combined strap down time, 1500 miles towing and the only thing I have found is that I see more UV fade then I would like. But the UV fade on these Bulldog winch straps is still 100% less then the cheap straps you buy at box stores.

by:

I was looking for a good set of tie down straps to secure my jeep on my car trailer .
I found these ratchet staps on line though etrailer.com . I have been useing them several times each month for approx. one year now . They work great and I could not be more pleased . I would recomend them to anyone that wants a sucure feeling when strapping down heavy cargo . Also I now go to etrailers first for there products .

Got some straps to secure our quad to trailer and a brake controller. All products came on time and worked perfectly. At first I thought the 4 Bulldog straps were way to beefy and overkill, but having used them this past weekend I have changed my mind....I felt very confident driving knowing there was no way our toy was going to come loose! And the absolute best feature is the little safety latch that prevents hook from possibly falling off trailer hook if strap were to come loose. Folks I talked to were very knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely visit the etrailer site next time I need something.

by:

Having recently purchased a tandem axel trailer we needed an axle tie down ratchet strap set. We found the strap set that matched our specifications at etrailer.

When comparing our selected Bulldog strap set among suppliers etrailer had the lowest price which included free shipping. etrailer has an excellent YouTube video that demonstrates using the Bulldog axial strap set.

We contacted etrailer to place our purchase. etrailer’s customer service is polite and easy to work with.

by:

I bought these for a cross country trip with my car, as I wanted to be able to strap it by the axles without worrying about the straps, and the included wear sleeve and bag made this seem like a pretty good deal. In reality though, the straps are much too soft and anything they rub against that isn't covered by the wear guard will wear right through, including it's own clip and the wood deck of the trailer. Unless you only need one time use straps, I would not buy these.

by:

After having this kit for 1 year, I can say it is def worth it. Ive used it numerous times holding my Jeep Cherokee XJ-Off Road only on my 18' trailer with out any issues. I do remove the straps when I get home and store them indoors to prevent uv/weather damage. A complete, dependable, easy to use, secure kit. Thank you eTrailer.

by:

I don't use these for business, but for my personal stuff. These have been great. it's really sweet that they store in their own bag too. I don't know what would hold them back for being used for business. They are very nice.
For the record their was some kind of holdup for delivery when I ordered them. Before I even knew they might be late. These folks reached out to me and offered me an alternative if I was interested. They still came in within a day of when the were supposed to. This business is as PROFESSIONAL as it comes.

Still GREAT. I have loaned them to friends, who loved them, and told them where to get their own.

by:

The tie-downs look good. I'll be able to use these for both tying down to axles (tractor), or through-the-wheels ('65 Sunbeam) on my trailer. The carrybag is pretty stout--should work fine for keeping this stuff in one place. I also like the ratchet feature of fully opening to unlock the strap.

by:

I am pleased with my purchase of the Bulldog Winch Combo Axle/Ratcheting Vehicle Tie Down Straps, they are excellent and do the job very well. A wise purchase to secure your load with.

by:

Had these for over a year now using them at least twice a month and have never let me down. I also want to note that when I first bought them I needed them in a rush and the people at etrailer replied right back and sent out the straps. Haven’t had great customer service like this in a while. The straps themselves are high quality and the bag is a great bonus to store them when not in use. Certainly not cheap hardware that will break overtime and worth what they cost. Will definitely buy more from here for my trailer!

by:

When they arrived I was impressed with the quality of the straps and the carry bag. I bought a small tractor yesterday and they were perfect. Easy to use and held the tractor secure even during a hard stop when an accident occurred in front of me on the highway. And as usual etrailer was great to deal with. Crystal sets the example for how customer service should always be done.

  • Minimum Strap Length of Bulldog Winch Combo Axle/Ratchet Straps
I spoke with Bulldog and the length of the non-adjustable strap piece on the # BDW20230 is going to be 12" long; the minimum strap length when the straps are fully ratcheted is going to be around 24" from the end of one hook to the end of the ratchet strap connected hook. I've attached a picture to show what I'm referencing. If you were looking for a different measurement, please let me know and I can work to find it out for you.

  • Solution for Wheel Net to Secure Jeep With 37 Inch Tires
I do have a solution, but we do not carry, nor am I aware of a wheel net that fits a 37" tire like the tires on your Jeep. Instead, I recommend the Bulldog Winch Combo Axle/Ratcheting Vehicle Tie-Down Straps # BDW20230. These ratcheting tie-down straps secure your vehicle by the axles, which is superior to wheel nets. Since you are attaching to the axle you don't have to worry about your tire size. This includes 4 straps along with a storage bag to keep everything in. Each strap has a...

  • Should Trailer Safety Chains be Crossed Under the Trailer Tongue
Safety chains on trailers should be crossed under the trailer tongue. The idea is that if the coupler pops off of the ball the safety chains will catch it so it doesn't drag on the ground. We have numerous safety chain parts available and I have included a link to them for you. You would not use straps such as # BDW20230 since straps are not rated for this application. The safety chains you use should have a capacity that at least meets if not exceeds the gross trailer weight.

First, thanks for the photo of the Jeep, that's a really cool vehicle you have there. And I appreciate the fact you're looking to maximize safety, as the weight limits can definitely be confusing. We can absolutely help you out here though with straps for your 3,000 lb Jeep. What you need are straps that exceed the capacity of your cargo, which in your case is a 3,000 lb Jeep. • Does Triangle Ring Part of Bulldog Winch Combo Axle/Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps have to be Used
I will be happy to help. The reason that there is that triangle ring portion on the Bulldog ratcheting tie down straps # BDW20230 is so it can attach to a vehicle axle. But you can use just the hook portion to attach to something and not use the triangle ring part if needed and not suffer reduced capacity. I have linked a video featuring these straps for you.
