E-Z Lube-Compatible Hub for Simple Lubrication

The grease cap on this hub is specially designed to work with your Dexter E-Z Lube axle to make lubricating bearings quick and easy. Just remove the plug on the grease cap, attach a grease gun to the zerk fitting on the end of the spindle, and inject the grease. It will flow easily to both inner and outer bearings. Not only does this make lubricating the bearings easy, but it also helps to prevent corrosion of the hub. This is because you can lubricate the bearings without the mess of taking apart the entire assembly.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Good Job EtrailerI ordered 3 tire and rim packages with a couple of hubs for converting the modile home axle under my trailer to a normal lug hub. Just put them on tonight and hubs and tires spun centrally and were very smooth. The hubs were included in oversize boxes for the tires. The boxes were a little beat and the bearing kits were rubbing on the metal parts inside. Just a little more packageing would have prevented a little wearing on the small parts. Sorry guys, the tape just doesn't keep the parts in place to prevent damage. Good job E-trailer

by:

I am in Honduras but i brought a trailer from Texas. No parts here, but these folks filled my order promptly. Solved our problem!

by:

These hubs are great. I am currently running these with about 100,000 miles on them. Give them a little grease and travel worry free. Ordered a new set as backups. You can’t go wrong with etrailer.com either. Their customer service is among the best I have ever experienced, they will go the extra mile to get you the answers and products you need.

by:

Worked great - attached to spindle welded to hudson bros trailer axle

by:

The hub and bearing combo I ordered came in pretty quick, and was a perfect fit, the races already being pressed in was a big time saver.

by:

Excellent product. Put on offroad trailer. Solid hub

by:

I am very satisfied with axle stubs. I am using on a heavy-duty towable backhoe. Holding up real well.

by:

As usual, eTrailer delivers an excellent product at an excellent price. Service and communication are top notch. They always get my business for all my trailer/towing needs.

  • Replacement Grease Seals Needed for 5.2K Dexter Axle Beam with EZ-Lube Spindles
Thanks for the info! Looks like you got the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles # 6340624 and the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # 8-213-5UC1-EZ. This means the grease seals you need are the 10-10 which comes in a pack of 2 with part # RG06-090.

  • Recommended Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System to Replace Axle on Truck Bed Trailer
The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - 4" Lift Spindle w/ Brake Flange - 5,200 lbs # TASR5200S03 will work well for your old truck bed trailer. The Axle-less system will allow you to have a custom fit to your trailer frame. You will simply bolt the assemblies to the frame and then run a 2 inch square bar (not included) through the integrated holes in the assembly. Then add the brakes and hubs and compatible wheels and you'll be good to go. The wheels in your current photo...

  • Raising Trailer with Welded On Torsion Axles
There is a solution for you, but the lift kits you referred to such as # K71-725-02 will not work with welded on torsion axles. The best option is for you to simply remove your torsion axles and use the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # TASR5200S03, which is rated for 5,200 lbs and has a 4" lift spindle. With these you would need Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-201-5UC3-EZ or Idler Hub Assembly # 8-213-5UC1-EZ. With the Timbrens there is no alignment needed; the system does come...

  • Replacement Idler and Hub Drum Using LM67048 and 25580 Bearings with 2.25 I.D. Grease Seal
It sounds like you have two 5200 or 6000 lb capacity axles with a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern. If this is the case, we have some hubs that will work for you. If you have EZ lube spindles, you would need the # 8-213-5UC1-EZ idler hub, and the # 8-201-5UC3-EZ hub/ drum. If you have standard spindles, you would need the # 8-213-5UC1 idler hub, and the # 8-201-5UC3 hub/ drum. The hubs include bearings, races, a grease seal and dust cap but the included grease seal will have the wrong inside...

Timbren axle-less suspension kits like # A35RS545E, which is rated for 3500-lbs and that includes electric drum (not disc) brakes, can make trailer fabrication a lot easier since they bolt or weld directly to the trailer's frame. This 3500-lb kit is the highest-rated kit that includes electric brakes. We also offer a similar kit with 4-inch drop spindles that allow the trailer to sit lower, part # A35RD545E. Note that two sets of Timbrens can be used together, as in a tandem axle set-up. In...

  • Can I Mount A 5 Lug land Cruiser Wheel To The Timbren 5200lb HD Axle
The only hubs that are compatible with the Timbren 5200lb HD Axle like part # T99GR are going to be 6 lug hubs like the # 8-213-5UC1-EZ. We do not offer any 5 lug hubs compatible with this axle, so there is not going to be a way to mount a 5 lug Land Cruiser wheel on this axle. Our recommendation is to go with different wheels, like the Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel # AM20746, which is a 16" silver 6 lug trailer wheel.

All idler hubs and hub/drums that use your bearing set # 25580 and # LM67048 appear on the linked page. For the idler hub use either standard 6-on-5-1/2 hub # 8-213-5UC1 or EZ-Lube hub # 8-213-5UC1-EZ. These include seals with a different I.D. so you'll also need 2.250-inch I.D. seal # GS-2250DL. For a 6-on-5-1/2 hub/drum use either standard model # 8-201-5UC3 or EZ-Lube model # 8-201-5UC3-EZ. Again you'll need to add the alternate seals # GS-2250DL. These various hubs use either a...

I would be happy to make a recommendation for upgraded axles and suspension components for your 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2670MK, but first I will need a few measurements from your current components.
