Today we're going to take a look at the Erickson Chrome-Plated Steel Flip-Up Stake Pocket Anchors for a quantity of two.Now, these stake pocket anchors will serve as tie-down points for securing your load. They are designed to work with trucks, vans, boats, trailers, and what's nice about these, they are a flip-up design. So, in other words, you can flip the loop right up there. Keeps it upright for easy use, hook your tie-downs in there, and then when you're not using them, they just fold right back down when they're not needed. Give you a nice, smooth surface, so they don't get in the way. They're a durable chrome-plated steel construction, which is corrosion resistant.
They are an easy no-drill installation. It includes everything here you need to install them. The two anchors are included. The two plastic gaskets, the two lower-mounting brackets, and the four mounting screws.Few dimensions on this. I'm going to measure the base first.
Overall width from edge to edge is right at 3 3/8" long. Width on it, is going to be right at 2 1/4" wide. Now the measurement on the lower brackets that go into your stake pockets, those are going to be 2 1/8" by 2 1/8", and then the inside loop dimensions on this, in other words, where you're going to hook your tie-down to, the inside portion of that, the width on it inside is going to be right at 1 1/8" wide, and the overall height of the inside loop is right at 5/8" tall.But to go and install these, basically what you would do, is you would just take your gasket, put it on the bottom of the baseplate. This is what'll go on the top of the stake pocket. This lower bracket is what'll go underneath, into the bottom of the stake pocket, and then you'll see there's two holes here that are threaded, that'll line up with these two holes here, so you have this at the bottom of your stake pocket, this at the tope.
Take your screws, drop them right through there, and then those would just screw into that bracket, and as you tighten them up it would pull this bracket up and hold it securely into the stake pocket. They work as a hold down but do not always retract. They also started rusting after a couple months

These stake hole covers are the perfect addition to finish off the bed rails of my 2006 F-350. They are functional Tie-downs with a touch of bling. Made of quality casting and a heavy gauge steel pull-up with stainless screws, they should hold anything I might need to restrain. It took longer to round up my drill and Phillips bit than it did to install the four tie-downs. The front two stake holes are covered by the cross-box so it's great that these are sold in pairs. I won't need to buy again because these are built to last the life of the truck. The only slight concern is that the ring does not lay flat or fully retracted when not in use. Not a big deal but if your were sitting on it, you would know it.

The tie downs are great! Best price online by far. Installed easily and hold my pontoon kick boat securely. They look good and work perfectly. Delivery was very fast and communication from etrailer was top shelf. A great commitment to my Retrax retractable bed cover.

The face plate could be a bit larger Don't cover the stake holes completely on a GMC 3500HD 8ft bed That is why its not 5 stars

I ordered the Stake pocket anchors and received them very quickly. I had actually ordered two packages; one by mistake. They contacted me to see if I wanted both orders which I only wanted one pair. I thought that was great of them to see I had ordered twice and called me on the phone to see if I made a mistake. Most companies would not have done this. I was very impressed.

The screws that keep the bracket secured started rusting less than a week. The outer flange has to be centered 1/16 of an inch all the way around. I was very disappointed in the product. Personally I will go back to Ford and by the retractable ones, the outer flanges are bigger to cover the hole easier and the screws never rusted in my old truck. I've purchased many things from you but this was not a good deal.

this item does not fit my 1990 ford f250 because the stake pockets are narrower inside than the top opening
oddly enough it does fit in the rear pockets but it sits too close to the edge so the piece of metal that acts as a retaining clip is butted up against the inside wall which does not allow the d ring to sit flush when not in use
gonna try to fabricate a new inside bracket that is a better fit and can give a little wiggle room to get it away from the inside wall
looks great and will function as intended if it were to fit right

The pocket tie down anchors work very well. They recess flat so I don’t bump into them when not in use.

these stake pocket try downs were just what was needed . tried the other kind that
expands rubber in the pocket but came up way short of getting tight . wasted my time looking on other web sites . If etrailer doesn't have it , you probally don't it .

They work well. I use them to tie the mooring rope to when launching my boat alone. The screws are prone to rust. It would be nice if they used stainless steel screws.

The product is fine quality no problem there. etrailer communicated well and quickly shipped the product.
The issue is the statement that the fit is universal. Realizing that I have an old truck and that purchasing a universal type product was a gamble, they did not fit my 1995 Chevy K2500.

Very Nice looking and 1 year later still look great. Very easy to install, just make sure they are all pointed the same direction, and before you completely tighten them down, move it around to center over you stake pocket hole and tighten firmly. Took me about 30 minutes to install all 4.

They don't fit the rear pockets of my '21 Ram. Will they fit the front ones which are covered by the top of box guard? Don't want to cut anything and find they don't fit there either! May be returning them.

Thank you for your review. You can use a wire brush and WD-40 to clean up some of the rust then apply a chrome spray paint to prevent further rust.
