The Erickson Flip-Up Stake Pocket Anchors # EM01006 are not a vehicle-specific item but you can use their dimensions to help determine if they will fit in the stake pockets on your 1987 GMC pickup. The base that covers the stake pocket measures 3-3/4 x 2-1/4 and the lower bracket that secures it inside the stake pocket measures 2-1/8 x 2-1/8. Naturally, this lower bracket must fit within the pocket opening.
If you refer to the linked photo that shows a side/underneath view you'll be able to see how much of this item fits within the stake pocket.
