Video Transcript for Tow-Rax L-Track Tie-Down Anchor Review

Randy: Hey guys, Randy here at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Tow-Rax L or O-Track anchor point. Now this is a single stud spring loaded anchor. You can see it's gonna fit into our circle style tracks. These are gonna provide a excellent solution for connecting points for us, whether we're using this in our garage or trailer. You see the spring loaded design.

Gonna push that in, place that through the circle and then we can slide that to any position we want. Once we find the position rotate that so it locks in place. And we've got our anchor point ready to go. That's a nice large open area so whether we're gonna connect just a regular strap or maybe when we wanna latch something down with rope, we can easily run that rope through. And it's nice and smooth so we don't have to worry about any type a damage. Now as far as weight ratings go on our connection point or our anchor, it's gonna have a vertical limit of 667 pounds and a horizontal limit of 1,333 pounds.

One thing to definitely keep in mind though, is that we don't wanna exceed the capacity of our track. So use whichever is lowest. Either the anchor's weight rating or the track. Now in comparing these to other type anchors, there are some larger O-Track anchors available so if you have a need for a hole that's larger, it'd be a good option to go with. But when it comes down to these, these are all pretty much built about identical.

So just pick the one that you like, pick the one that's most cost effective or the one that matches the track system that you have. As you can see, nice large open connection point, plenty a room for any type strap you might wanna connect. Of course, except for a flat hook type.

Great customer service. The only place I look for trailer parts.

Arrived in great condition, and looks very sturdy. We'll be using this inside the tongue box of our trailer.

Works as expected, thx

Did tons of searches for cargo management systems for my 2019 Ford Ranger. Nothing made specifically for it exists right now. These rails and tie downs worked out great. I really like the option of black anadize that compliments the black appearance package on my truck. I only wish these black rails were offered in lenghts greater than 18".

This thing is a monster, very strong and yet takes up minimal space.

  • Does Tow-Rax L-Track Have Different Strength When Mounted Straight or Side-to-Side on Trailer Floor
Good question, though the load limit will be exactly the same when mounted straight along the length of the trailer or side-to-side on your trailer floor for the Tow-Rax L-Track # TWSP24TA. So you can mount the track in whichever position is most convenient for you and the load capacity of 2,000 lbs will be the same in either direction. Then for anchors you can use either the Tie-Down Anchor # TWSPSSTD or # TWSPDSTD225. To complete the set up you an also add the Tow-Rax End Piece # TWSPPGF. I...

  • Recommended Mounting Hardware for Tow-Rax Low-Profile Floor Track # TWSP72TA On Aluminum Trailer
The mounting points for the Tow-Rax Low-Profile Floor Track # TWSP72TA are spaced every 12" with the 6' track having 7 mounting holes. The hole opening will accept a 1/4" countersunk screw and I recommend using a stainless steel screw for mounting on your aluminum trailer. The length will depend on your particular trailer and how thick the floor is and if you tie into the aluminum beams with any of the screw holes. This will vary based on your spacing of the aluminum beams. You will need...

  • Tie-Downs Available for Tow-Rax Tracks
There are only two Tow-Rax Tie-Down Anchors, the Tie-Down Anchor for Tow-Rax L-Tracks part # TWSPSSTD which is designed to be used with Tow-Rax L-Tracks like part # TWSP6DTAB and the Tow-Rax Tie-Down Anchor for Tow-Rax Low-Profile Floor Tracks part # TWSPDSTD225 which is designed to be used with Tow-Rax Low-Profile Tracks like part # TWSP72TA. I have attached a list of all the different track type/lengths but there are no other tie-downs for these tracks.
