Today we're going to be taking a look at part number HM47965. This is the Hopkins 2-Pole Flat Wiring Extension. It's going to give you an extension of 12 inches. The 2-pole is going to have the positive and negative wiring loop. This cord can be cut to provide 2 compatible plugs. That way you can create a plug-in connection for a hardwired 12-volt accessory such as a backup camera or a light.
You could also use this as a replacement for an existing connection. It's going to feature 16-gauge copper wire construction. It's going to have tin-plated terminals that are going to stand up against rust and corrosion. Again, the overall length is going to measure 12 inches. That's going to do it for our review of part number HM47965.

I found in the past, that Hopkins wiring have always been dependable. I used these particular adapters to hook up auxiliary lighting for a slide in camper on my trailer and also for a hook up for my tow behind sprayer on my garden tractor. Performed great on both.

Goal, conversion of a 1998 Floe snowmobile trailer from surge to electric brakes.
Problem, due to time and corrosion, I could only supply partial part numbers, spindle diameter.

I was unable to find the exact connector that wanted to replace.
This connector seemed to be a good substitute.
When it arrived I found it to be too tight to insert and very difficult to disconnect.
Since this cable requires frequent connection and disconnection between my motorhome and towed is was not sure if it would be more of a problem than a solution.
I called customer service and they were most helpful.
Their suggestion to use dielectric grease has helped somewhat.
Time will tell if this will be usable.

These Hopkins 12" extensions are great.
They arrived today as promised, I had been waiting for them to install a quick disconnect for a Float Charger for my H.D. (got mine done today, couple friends will be done tomorrow).
Ironically the mailman came by about the same time as these were delivered according to the "Tracking Program", I went to mailbox and didn't receive them USPS. Package shipped UPSSurepost and they left box in carport - - - Normally all that deliver packages here walk the extra 8 or 10 steps and give ya a knock on the door and leave package by Front Door. Got em anyway.

I just received the Hopkins two-pole flat wiring extensions that I ordered and I am very pleased with the quality and functionality. It is a standard two-wire connector but these connectors have become increasing hard to find locally and the etrailer price is great and the shipping is reasonable. I ordered several of these connectors to have available for future use.
I use these connectors for auto, marine, and misc connectors. These are high quality and the service from etrailer is great. If you need a 2 pole universal connector this is the one!!

great product will buy again when needed
The two-pin connectors arrived sooner than expected and were very well packaged. They are being used for hooking up solar panel chargers to outdoor equipment batteries. The connectors really facilitate servicing and maintenance.
Great service, great selection and great pricing. Can't wait to ship with trailer again.

Using it for a quick disconnect battery tender. Love it. Will recommend and would order again.
These type connectors are getting a bit more difficult to find, and I was glad they were available from e trailer at a great price. Delivery was great and they were well packaged for use.
As for my use, I build specialized machines for our industry and these will be used to transfer low voltage from on point to an operator switch.
Again great find, great buy, and excellent service as usual.
These work great for providing quick connect/disconnect capability between the 12 volt batteries and solar panel chargers at our sportsman's club.
The wiring extensions have worked well for me. I would purchase these again.

Working great no problems.
Good price and quality. Cut them in half to make battery tender connectors for my motorcycles.
It worked well. The wiring insulation material is not high grade but for the price it is good enough...

The Hopkins trailer connecter truck side broke in a month. Replaced. Second one broke a couple of months ago. I have an all-metal connector ready to install.Not your fault, but its a crappy design from Hopkins.Thanks for following up. Getting ready to do two more trailers and it was a good reminder to re-visit you guys for the parts.
