A water pump is needed to get the water from your RV or boat's fresh water holding tank up to your faucets. This automatic pump from Seaflo not only performs this task, but it also ensures a consistent flow and high-volume output for up to 4 fixtures. This means you can run your shower and your kitchen faucet at the same time without losing pressure. It's also energy efficient and runs quietly.

Seaflo pumps for RV fixtures

No-Mess Self-Priming

There are 2 types of pumps you can get for your RV: one that requires manually priming every time you run your fresh water tank dry, and one that primes automatically. Manual priming requires that you pour water into the pump, which can be inconvenient and messy. This pump primes itself, keeping you and your RV clean and dry.

Worry-Free Operation

Seaflo uses an automatic start-and-stop pressure switch that lets the pump run dry long enough to self-prime. If you turn your water on and realize you've unknowingly run your fresh water tank dry, the pump can run dry without damage while you shut the faucet and the pump off. The pressure switch also protects the pump motor from overheating when the water has been on for a while. So, if one of your kids leaves the faucet on, you're going to town with the washdown hose, or your teen takes a long shower (despite your asking them to conserve water), the pump will kick off when it starts to get hot. Once the motor has cooled, it will automatically come back on if the faucet or shower is still turned on.

To use this pump once it's installed, you only have to turn the water on!

Quick Tips: Some of our neighbors suggest unplugging this pump when you're traveling to prevent it from turning on accidentally if your faucets shake. And some of our feline-loving friends also recommend unplugging the unit any time you leave your cats unsupervised.

Installation

This pump can be installed on the floor, under a cabinet, or on the wall. Because this pump has a vertical, priming lift, you can install it up to 6' above your fresh water tank. Just make sure to measure 6' from the bottom of your holding tank. This is where the intake fitting will sit.

Pump feet and mounting pattern

Once you've determined the pump's location, it can be secured to its new home with 4 screws (not included).

Filter

A filter is included to prevent debris from entering the pump. To install this, just screw it inline with the inlet port.

The fittings on this pump are male NPT ports. Screw the 1/2"-14 NPT hose barbs onto the pump fittings. The hose barb fittings have wingnuts to make it easy to turn the fittings by hand. Once you have the tubing (sold separately) in place on the hose barbs, add hose clamps (sold separately) for extra security.

Fill your fresh water tank and turn your water faucet on to clear the lines of air. The pump should kick on immediately, but because self-priming can take up to a minute to complete, give it a little time to start producing water at the faucet.

I give SeaFlo thumbs down for very slow responses to a problem with the pump. I called and emailed many times. The first unit had a bad pressure valve and a bad check valve. I asked etrailer to contact SeaFlo to request a replacement and etrailer did that and called me back in five minutes to say SeaFlo would relace the bad unit. The replacement is working great, is quiet and did not require any adjustments. The first unit had a bad pressure valve and a bad check valve.

  • Recommendations For Replacing RV Water System Components
I drew up a little diagram of how RV water systems are typically designed and attached it below to make it easier for you to see each component. I believe what you're referring to is simply just the fresh water tank drain, which you could use part # CAM22243 to tie into your tank and allow it to drain. The Anti-Siphon valve # A01-0141VP you were looking at simply connects to a Valterra Hydroflush # F02-4100 for you to hook up a garden hose and clean out your black tank. For the fresh...

  • What To Do When Your Freshwater Tank Is Filling Up When On City Water
If your freshwater tank is filling up with water when on city water then the gasket inside your water pump has failed and is allowing water to backflow. This is typically caused by not using a regulator # A01-1124VP on high pressure city water systems, improper winterization allowing water to freeze in the pump, or the gasket just failed due to age/usage. You'll want to check the psi and gpm listed on your current pump so that you can determine the correct replacement. I've attached a...

  • Replacement Water Pump Recommendation for a 2001 Fleetwood Camper
I recommend replacing your water pump with something that has a similar flow rate so you aren't downgrading from your current unit. For something slower I recommend the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump # SE57FR rated for 3 GPM (Gallons per minute) or for something a little faster we have the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump # SE24FR rated at 5 GPM. I'm linking review videos as well as our selection of replacement water pumps for your reference.

  • Can Seaflo Diaphragm Pump SE57FR Replace Flojet 03526144
Yes, you can absolutely replace your Flojet 03526144 with the Seaflo pump you asked about, which is the following part number: - Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs - Variable Flow - 3 GPM - 55 psi - 12V DC # SE57FR This will be a direct fit and you won't need any other parts or accessories to go with it.

  • Troubleshooting Weak Water Pressure With A Dometic RV Water Heater
If the pressure builds up and then slows down to just a small stream then you most likely are not getting a high enough pressure for the Dometic RV Water Heater # DMC74FR to properly function. It's getting enough water to fill the tank, but not enough to keep it full and handle the demand from the running faucets. This could be caused by a clog in the line, like you were thinking, or a bad water pump if you aren't using city water. On most RV water pumps there's a little adjuster screw...

  • Quieter RV Water Pump Recommendation
We have found that the Seaflo Diaphragm water pumps like the part # SE57FR are very quiet compared to other options but especially compared to the Shurflo pump you have. This is also a 3 gallon per minute pump rated for 55 PSI.

  • Recommended Replacement for Shurflo 4008-101-A65
Per the specs of the Shurflo 4008-101-A65 it looks like we have two very good options in the HydroMax RV Fresh Water Pump, # P25201 and the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs, # SE58FR. Each are 12VDC pumps and rated at 3 gallons per minute and receive great customer feedback. I suggest the the HydroMax RV Fresh Water Pump, # P25201 because of the slightly higher pressure of 55 psi over that of the Seaflo's 45 psi and the additional amount of customer ratings that this pump has received....

  • What Power Source is Seaflo Water Pump part # SE57FR Designed to Run On
The Seaflo Water Pump part # SE57FR was designed to run on 12 volts so easiest solution would be a car battery like you mentioned and let it run off of that. You could keep the battery charged with a charger like the # CTEK56865.

  • Difference Between, and Power Supply for Seaflo Diaphragm Pump
The difference between the two pumps is that the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs # SE58FR has a 3-chamber diaphragm for water flow up to 2 fixtures, while the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs # SE57FR has a 4-chamber diaphragm for water flow for up to 4 fixtures. • Can the psi be of the Seaflo 60 psi Diaphragm Pump Be Adjusted
No, the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump, # SE24FR is a 12 VDC pump that flows up to 5.5 gallons per minute and pressure setting at 60 psi. This is a variable flow based on demand, there is not an adjustable setting on the unit itself to make changes. If you are needing your pump to be within the 45-55 psi range you would want to go with one of the below pumps: - Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs # SE58FR (45 psi) - Flow Max RV Fresh Water Pump # LC689052 (50 psi) - Seaflo Diaphragm Pump...

  • Replacement Seaflo Diaphragm Pump Options for a Shurflo 4008-101-A65 Water Pump
The Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs # SE58FR has the same 45 psi rating as the Shurflo 4008-101-A65 so it would be the closest match, but as long as your setup is able to take the higher 55 psi pressure rating of the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump # SE57FR then it will be perfectly fine to use. The GPM rating is still 3 though so the only real difference between the two is the psi rating.

  • Recommended Replacement For A Shurflo 4008-101-F65 RV Water Pump
Hi Dorothy, The Seaflo Diaphragm Pump # SE58FR would be a compatible replacement for your Shurflo 4008-101-F65, but it has a lower psi rating so you'd see a bit of a drop in pressure. Instead I recommend going with the Seaflo # SE57FR. This unit has a 3.0GPM, 55 psi rating, and operates on 12v DC power. Everything I can find on the 4008-101-F65 shows it being 12v DC but we can clear p any confusion by checking where it gets power from. If it runs to the battery or to a fused port on the...

  • Recommended RV Water Pump For A 4 Gallon Water Tank
RV water pumps like the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs # SE24FR pressurize your trailer's plumbing up to their specific psi rating and kick on when the psi starts to drop. With you only having a 4 gallon tank you would quickly blow through the water in it with a pump so the # SE24FR is a bit overkill for your needs. I recommend going with a lower psi and GPM model unit like the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs - Variable Flow - 1.2 GPM - 35 psi - 12V DC # SE37FR. This...
