Recommendations For Wiring Fulton XLT Powered Drive Trailer Jack F141401  

Question:

Can you use the existing wiring to hook to Andersen 50A plugs or can you change out the wiring to fit a Andersen 50A plugs, are wire to a different plug such as a 4 pole plug etc.

You could use a 2-pole connector like the # HM47965 to wire the Fulton XLT Powered Drive Trailer Jack # F141401 to connect to the power and ground wire on the jack and route it to your vehicle battery, but a much easier way is just adding a 7-way connector # PK12706 to the jack wiring so you can power the jack by your tow vehicles 7-way connector.

To do this you would connect the black wire to the 1 o'clock spot when looking at the back of the connector, and connecting the white wire to the 7 o'clock pin when looking at the back of connector.

This jack has a built in 15 amp circuit breaker so it will never pull more than that and since the 12v power circuit on your 7-way has 30 amps minimum you will have no issues using it to power the jack.

You could of course just wire the jack to an on-board battery if you have one, but you will not be able to use the Andersen 50 amp plugs you mentioned as they are designed for 6-gauge wire which this jack does not have.
