Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

I attached 2 of these on the back of my boat trailer. I thought they would be a little brighter than they were. Also after 3 trips to the lake,I noticed one of them had water in it. They weren't sealed very well.

by:

I purchased two of these LED Utility Light Bars and installed under the bed rail in my pickup bed in order to light up the bed area at night. The lights were easy to install along with the chrome base mounting bracket. Looks great and supplies ample lighting in the bed area. I liked the overall length which spread the light over a large area.

Both lights are working great and I like showing my friends how well the bed lighting makes it easy to find things in the dark. Even better is the fact I can turn them on with my key fob.

by:

I installed a pair of these lights on underside of the overhang on my 5th wheel camper. They make hooking up easier as well as provide a lot of light for parking bicycles or motorcycles under the camper. Easy electrical hook up. I applied a bead of silicone RTV around the lights to prevent rain or wash water from getting inside the camper skin.

Update, the lights are still wonderful.

by:

Added to tie into backup lighting so early morning helps backing down boat ramp.

by:

Seems ok so far with no water intrusion into the unit. The previous one purchased got water in the unit, which you replaced and sent me the optronics.

by:

I added these as some back-up lights on my trailer. I got them because they match the existing taillights as far as size and they have a clear lens. They work pretty well but I wish they were a little brighter.

by:

I'm using this 15" LED bar for a license plate light for my custom flatbed truck. After hearing my friends were getting pulled over for dim license plate lights, I thought I would light mine up so there is no question of visibility. The tail lights are from etrailer as well!!! Awesome products.

by:

Great find - glad for the transaction

by:

Quality replacement on rv front loading lights.

by:

I'm using these as a reverse light on my boat trailer. I've got a tight driveway and they help out a ton.

A year later still working great

by:

Love the amount of light this product produces. I bought them with the hope to better see when backing up my snowmobile trailer. They work well and match the design of the other trailer lights.

They are great..They continue to impress me. I recommend them Thank you!

by:

Ordered a couple of utility LED white light bars to use as back-up lights on my trailer. The purchase process was easy and the shipment was fast, despite being near Black Friday and Christmas. Can't give a "user report" on the lights yet, as haven't used them for night time launch/recovery yet, but they are well made and appear to be 100% waterproof.

by:

this light bar is factory replacement for fuzion rv docking light, top of front cap.etrailer is the only place on net i found this light bar.The factory no longer carrries or use it.Water proof better than factory light bar.

by:

I purchased a 12volt LED docking light bar from etrailer.com and am very pleased. The light they offered exceeded the quality provided on my 5th wheel from the original installation at the factory. This unit was fully sealed in a waterproof housing, with the back protected completely. I could not find this light on the "A" site many people try first. Customer service and shipping was exceptionally competitive with any 5 star rated company. etrailer has a fantastic selection of quality products you would expect from someone who knows their business. Have saved them as a favorite, and will not hesitate to check their site for any of my trailoring needs. Prices are right. Thanks!

by:

These lights are awesome! They were super easy to install and very bright! I will definitely buy these again

by:

Product were just as listed and were easy to install

by:

Great light, just what I expected. Lights up the back of camper as needed, great service from e-trailer as always.

Works great, installed this light a year ago it’s still always dependable for bright light. Highly recommend this light.

by:

Bought a replacement LED tail light for my car trailer. The light works great.

by:

This is the second mobile locksmith van I am putting these lights in. I can't imagine a better product. They are low profile, draw almost nothing from the battery, and provide plenty of light to perform my work.

by:

Very bright white light for such a low profile. Easy to install. Cool to the touch. Using in the back of my box truck. Sorry I did not buy 3. Makes the other incandescents look dim and yellowish (is that a word?)

by:

I use these lights on my trailers as back up lights. Great lights , water proof and lights up a big area.
Replacing a light I broke.

by:

Used as back lighting on my bass boat trailer....looks awesome, great light.

by:

I put this over the bed of my Ranger for night time. Works perfect. Bright enough, but not obnoxiously bright. Perfect for a bed light.

by:

E-Trailer, I have 4 trailers and I have ordered parts for all of them over some years and you do me a very good job of getting me the correct parts and getting them to me fast. At a very reasonable price. Web site is awesome ! You are a very good company to purchase off of . Thanks

by:

The lights work as well as I hoped they would. I would recommend them to anyone looking for lights like these.

Although it is a little larger than the ILL70CB you were looking at, the Optronics Ultra-Thin-Line LED Utility Light Bar, part # BUL69CB sounds exactly like what you are looking for. • Is Optronics Ultra-Thin 11 Diode LED Utility Light, Part # BUL69CB, Bright Enough for Utility Use?
The Optronics Ultra-Thin 11 Diode LED Utility Light, Part # BUL69CB, is intended for use as a general purpose trailer utility light. Typically most clearance/marker light assemblies are amber in color and only use between 2 and 6 diodes; this utility light uses 11 diodes. Its sealed and waterproof 1-piece compact housing makes it ideal for use on the exterior of your horse trailer. LED-type lights use only a small fraction of the power required by incandescent bulbs, and this unit draws...

  • How To Install LED Utility Lights On the Outside Of An Enclosed Trailer
It sounds like you are wanting to install utility lights on the exterior of your trailer and if that is the case then I do not have any universal diagram for this. • Recommended Exterior Trailer Lighting for Food Trailer
There are certain requirements for lighting when towing, so you will have to run your lights in a way that doesn't interfere with the state laws. I'd recommend running your lights off a separate plug or battery to make that easy. To add to the functionality and/or look of your food trailer, any exterior light for RV or Trailers will work. I can give you a couple of options/styles to consider. I like LED lights because they are bright, require no maintenance, and draw less power. ...

  • Compatibility of High-Efficiency LED-Type Exterior Trailer Lighting
An individual LED type light may not put out as much light as certain individual halogen lights do, but because, as you noted, LEDs use so little power you can use more of them. You could potentially BOTH increase your overall light output and still save power, leaving more of the generator's capacity to operate other devices. Another advantage of LED lighting is reduced waste heat (a result of the LEDs' efficiency). The linked page displays all LED type trailer utility lights. These include...

  • Recommended Interior and Exterior LED Lighting for Enclosed Box Trailer
We've got the lighting items you need for your high school band's instrument trailer. I strongly recommend you opt for LED-type lights, rather than standard incandescent bulb lights. There are several advantages to using LED lights. LEDs use only about 1/10th the power required by incandescent lights. Their efficiency also means less waste heat, which can matter a lot in warm weather when the sun has already heated up the trailer interior. They also do not change color with age the way...

  • Separating Brake and Turn Signals, Adding a Reverse Light, and Ramp Door Support for a Trailer
First, trailers in the US use what is called a combined 2-wire system. The brake lights and turn signals are on the same circuit on each side.
