Note: To ensure proper axle alignment and suspension performance, leaf springs should always be replaced in pairs.
Leaf springs are an integral part of your trailer suspension system. The leaf springs provide the attachment points for your trailer's axle, suspending it from the frame of your trailer. Each spring flexes to absorb road shock as you travel, allowing the axle to move somewhat independently of the rest of your trailer. This helps to reduce wear and tear on the trailer and also ensures a smooth ride.
Double-eye leaf springs attach to hangers that are welded onto your trailer. One end of this spring will attach directly to the hanger with a suspension bolt. The other end will attach to shackle straps that are suspended from a hanger. These straps allow the spring to move and pivot so that it can better compensate for uneven pavement. If you have a tandem- or triple-axle trailer, the shackle straps will be attached to the equalizer that connects multiple springs.
To mount this spring, you will need hangers, shackle straps, and suspension bolts. If you are simply replacing a spring, you may still have hangers welded onto your trailer. You should, however, replace your shackle straps because they are usually the first component to wear out. You may choose to replace old suspension bolts as well. It is recommended that you replace the other leaf spring in your setup at the same time. Because springs can sag and elongate as they wear, this new spring may not exactly match the old one, and the alignment of your trailer could be affected.
If you are fabricating a trailer, you will need to purchase a hanger kit for installation. To determine the type of hanger kit that you need, you must know the specific type of leaf spring that you have, as well as your axle capacity. Depending on the hanger kits used with them, springs can be configured to work for single-, tandem- or triple-axle applications. Hangers and other suspension components can also be purchased separately if there isn't a complete kit that works for your setup.

Includes bushings with 9/16" inner diameter.So far based on visual inspection and install I am super pleased with these springs. I have not gotten to tow with them yet but I’m sure they will not disappoint. I had to get them to increase the clearance between the axle and Frame of my car trailer due to me upsizing to a 6000lb 3” diameter axle. I purchased 2 at first because I was not sure this would work for what I was trying to do but once they were finally delivered I installed that night and ordered 2 more for the other axle.
I haven't installed them yet, but the product looks correct. However the packaging was a bit disappointing, all 4 leaf springs were seemingly dumped into a square box, although there was wrapping paper, they were not individually wrapped, this allowed them to rub against each other and chip the paint.
The box must have needed to be taped in transit, as the leaf springs appeared to have been bulging out the sides. I would have expected a rectangular box that would have fit these items better.
They made my trailer a lot more stable and able to handle a heavier load. Very easy to install and I really like the grease zerks to extend the life of the springs and shackles.
Junk don’t buy then! They don’t last 1000 miles before braking and bending. Old springs where 10yrs old will 100k miles on them. The are total junk and they don’t have a warranty so you will be out all your money when this crap brakes!!!!
Perfect replacement for my old springs. These 6 leafs are a great value. Replace the nylon bushings with bronze: Customer service Rep Jon answered all my questions. That’s what I like about etrailer
This is second set and first broke after only a few hundred miles. They blamed me stating I didn’t install it right but that is a lame reason for the springs to break! One failed and caused the other to twist so if this happened again then there is no way it is my fault as I had them installed at Rv shop. I watched them torch the hell out of the bolts XXX# plus as that’s was highest torch wrench would go.
Boxes where torn up and taped but all good , got one side on and really like how they lifted the trailer and work nice , next is the brakes , Thanks
Every thing came very fast, took old parts out and installed new parts ,springs and hardware went together very good

Box arrived looking like it had been thrown off of a truck, it was destroyed . The lippert control panel that was thrown in with the heavy axle springs was damaged. Will not ever buy from this company again

I have not been able to use parts as UPS lost one entire shipment, damaged another shipment and etrailer left some parts out of the replacement shipment. I want to replace all the items on my trailer together in one day.
Anyways, your company has been good about fixing the issues.
I hope UPS pays for the damage and lost shipments.
This is not my first purchase with the trailer so I can speak with a little experience. This leaf spring kit and several other recent purchases I've made. Have been very well presented, with adequate information to make an informed choice of the product.
I did shop around I almost always do, once you consider the what it takes to get the product to you E trailer is vary competitive if not the best.
