Why Are There 26 Long But Not 26.5 Long Trailer Leaf Springs  

Question:

I have a fifth wheel toy hauler gvwr is 15k pounds. Im looking to change leaf springs mine measure 26.5from eye to eye all i see is 26 inch could mine just be that flat so its really a 26inch spring. Can you recomend best ones to use mine are 1in3/4 wide and 6 leaf now.

Correct, as leaf springs wear out over time they will stretch so the new replacement you need is likely going to be shorter. That said, you're also supposed to measure the spring unloaded so this will also factor into the length. I am not sure what capacity you need but you should choose one that matches the axle capacity as close as possible. The 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring part # e94SR for example is rated for 6,000 lb axles.

I have attached our entire 26" leaf spring selection below as well if the above will not work.
