Determining Correct Replacement Leaf Springs For 2007 Keystone Montana5th Wheel W/ 6000lb Axles

Question:

I have a 2007 Keystone Montana 3075RL 5th Wheel. I would like to replace the springs and increase the load capacity slightly in doing so. Currently I have 5 spring and axels and 6000# axels. What do you recommend I do? The springs have never been replaced and I do get some tire wear.

I would be happy to recommend replacement leaf springs for your 2007 Keystone Montana 3075RL 5th Wheel Trailer but I will need to know the center eye of spring eye to center of spring eye measurement, and the width of the leaf spring first. You will need to take this measurement with no weight on the axle or you will get an inaccurate measurement.

For example the 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles - 26" Long # e94SR is rated for 6000lbs measures 26" from center of spring eye to center of spring eye, and is 1-3/4" wide so if you current leaf springs have the same measurement this would be a great option.

I do not recommend going with a spring with a higher weight rating as the next highest rating is 8000lbs and would cause a rougher ride. Using springs with a higher weight rating will not increase the capacity of your trailer, as you will be limited to the lowest rated component which could be the axle with a 6000lb rating or the GVWR of the trailer.

I included a picture showing where to measure the leaf spring currently on your trailer and a video of the # e94SR for you to take a look at.
