Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the hitch lock from Hollywood Racks. This is gonna be a standard 5/8 pin and it's gonna be locking. It's got a lock head on the end right here, so whether you've got a bike rack, a cargo carrier, or any other two-inch hitch accessory you can get it locked up and secured, check it out. So it comes with two keys, and when you unlock it here, it does have a push-to-lock feature. So as I just push it on the end you see it locks in and engages.
And then it has the dust cap on the end to keep everything nice and weather sealed, so it should last a lot longer. So this particular rack from Hollywood Racks does come with its own locking hitch pin, but you can still use this one. Maybe you're using it as a replacement pin. It'll work just like the old one did. And as long as your bike rack doesn't have a threaded hitch pin hole, and uses an integrated anti-rattle device like this that binds the hitch pin against the inside of that hitch pin hole, then it'll work just fine for that too.
So whether you've got a different bike rack that uses a similar system to this, or again, a cargo carrier or other hitch-mounted accessory, it's gonna work just fine. And that's really all there is to it. A locking hitch pin is a really simple accessory to add on. Just make sure that if you have a threaded anti-rattle for a certain bike rack, you go with the appropriate threaded locking anti-rattle bolt. With this, if you've got a standard hitch pin and you wanna replace it with a locking one it's gonna work just fine.
And for me, I always look for that push-to-lock feature just because I think it's way easier than having to keep your hand on a key and turn it when it's down here by the hitch. A lot of times you've got an accessory in the way, especially with cargo carriers, those get really bulky. So getting that on there with the push-to-lock is a lot simpler, more straightforward, and it's just gonna be easy to use and give you that added security. Thanks for watching..

Perfect replacement for the one I lost
The hitch lock from etrailer is well-made and easy to use. I use it regularly to lock a heavy metal bike rack to my vehicle. I like the snug-fitting rubber cover for the key insertion face--no dirt or road splash gets into the lock. I would recommend this lock as a quality-made, dependable hitch lock.
I was positively ILL, when I realized the lock, locking my bike rack to the car, had "disappeared" while on a trip..We travel a great deal, and carry very expensive bikes...Their security was now at risk...I found etrailer.com, and placed the order...all correspondence was quick and professional...One week later the new lock is now on the rack, and the quality of the replacement unit was excellent! I had a problem with this where it was locked in place and could not get it off my truck. This was due to how far back the pin was. I was eventually able to get it off, but I have not used it since. It was slightly difficult to install.
Super fast service and the lock fit perfectly with my cars hitch. It also came with 2 keys to replace my old ones which was just what I needed.
Outward facing lock is nice for tight spaces. I have a Tahoe and this is perfect for that vehicle.
Works as designed and appears to be manufactured well. Fits the tight opening in my vehicle's bumper cover better that previous product.

Well it was a gift for friend for his new Porsche Cayenne. I put it on his rig to lock on a UofO hitch cover. That rig will never tow anything so itll stay locked on his rig till he sells it. But it was a nice hitch lock.
