This rustproof, stainless steel lock is designed to fit latch-style trailer couplers. Covered keyhole helps to prevent internal corrosion. Can be keyed alike to match other etrailer locks.

These seem to be made well. Yet to be seen how they hold up over time. Having several trailers, the keyed alike feature was important to me and I was able to order the lengths I needed for the various coupler types. I saw some reviews indicating that the operation of these was slow or tedious. I found that insert the key, hold the key and spin the black end was simple and quick.

The lock is really excellent quality. I use it to secure a kayak trailer. So it's really only exposed to summer type weather. The service from etrailer was quick and efficient.

Love it. It fits in the safety pin hole on a 2” ball hitch. I also got mine keyed alike. That is a pretty good idea to offer as an option.

Good little item, but stout. Keyed end is screwed on/off with key inserted. Remove the key, pop the cap on and it's ready to go. Will be used to secure bikes to Swagman hitch carrier for travel and/or storage. Swagman carrier is secured to an anchored stand for storage

- Coupler Latch Lock That Cannot be Easily Cut With Bolt CuttersYes, the best way to deter thieves with bolt cutters is to use a very short pin lock in the latch part # e98885. This etrailer.com stainless steel coupler lock only measures a 1/2" span and will not give the thief room to use the bolt cutters to cut it off because it is too tight against the latch. As long as the hole in your latch is a 1/4" and the latch is no wider than 1/2" this will work well for you. They can also be keyed alike so you can use 1 key for your work trailers.

- Replacement for Deadbolt Brand Coupler Lock & Can They be Ordered With Specific KeysI can answer each of these questions for you, and the etrailer Stainless Steel Trailer Coupler Lock - 1/2" Span # e98885 is the same as the Deadbolt RC2-SS that you previously purchased. Just part of the lock is not available for replacement, unfortunately, so you will need a new lock in its entirety. Also, specific key/lock numbers are not available so the key code you get will be random. If you want everything keyed alike you would have to get all new locks and select the "keyed alike"...

There is some excess threading in the lock when installing it that will allow it to work with your 1" span requirements. Unfortunately they can only be keyed alike when ordered together.
