This is the greatest idea in the history of trailer towing. It is so easy to use this system than the old spring and pin system that used to rust and always need adjusting. Works fantastic and way faster. I wish I would have invented it.

by:

easy and effective! i have 2 of these and will keep buying them for other trailers

by:

I use this trailer behind my ATVs and there wasn't enough room to close the lock, with your quick pin lock no problem...I would recommend it to anyone that has tight quarters to hook up.....

by:

Way easier to use then some other couplers that get stuck constantly.

by:

It was a little confusing when I made the order. The part I wanted was back ordered. etrailer's folks came to the rescue and I ended up with different part that will work as well, was in stock, and for a little less money.
Thanks,
Mark

The weather was so good at Bowker Lake in Québec, Canada that we took the opportunity to take a little trip in the woods and put to the test the new Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler for 2 "Ball - 2" Channel - 3,500 lbs on my Pulka with a Honda Rancher.

by:

Works good. Only thing is the cable that secures the pin to the coupler broke after a few uses.

by:

Easier to use than traditional couplings for light duty towing. Can't be jammed by dropping onto ball with latch.

by:

Good quality products, super good service, fast delivery

It's great, glad I bought it

  • Recommended Hardware For Installing Curt 3" Straight Tongue 2" Ball Coupler
For your Curt Coupler 25138 which is similar to their Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler # C54UR, they recommend using grade 5, 1/2" bolts and nuts. If you have an open channel on your straight tongue trailer you will need to use 4 bolts and nuts. This hardware is available at a local hardware store.

  • How To Make Boat Trailer Tongue Shorter To Fit In A Garage
I would be happy to help! Personally I would go with the Fulton Fold-Away Coupler Hinge Kit for 3" x 4" Tongue - Bolt On - Up to 7,000 lbs # FHDPB340301 since you are only adding 12" of pivot length. At that length you will still have the full weight rating of the coupler so it will be plenty strong for your trailer, but will also allow you to make the trailer as short as possible to fit in your garage or any other tight places. While using the Brophy Ball Mount # BM20 and installing...

  • Lock For Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler for 2 Inch Ball
There are a couple of different ways you can lock the Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler for 2" Ball, either with a standard coupler lock, or you can use a 1/2 inch diameter hitch pin lock, since that is the same size as the pin and clip (though you should always use the pin and clip that come with the coupler when towing and not a lock). So to lock it you can use any of the following options, depending on what you prefer: - etrailer Trailer Coupler Lock for Flat Lip 1-7/8" and 2"...

  • Can a Surge Brake Coupler Be Replaced With a Curt No Latch On a Mastercraft Trailer?
Based on some information I could find I believe you currently have a actuator like the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator # DX53FR on your Mastercraft trailer. To switch to a Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler # C54UR you will need to ensure your trailer will not exceed 3,500lbs when fully loaded. You will also need to verify with your local laws your trailer is being legally operated as many laws will require trailer brakes if over a certain weight no matter how far you tow. Since...

  • Torque For Curt QuickPin No-Latch Coupler
Thank you for your purchase from etrailer of the Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler for 2" Ball - 3" Channel - 3,500 lbs # C54UR. The 100 ft lbs is too much, as the directions specify to torque the bolts to 55 ft lbs. When you over torque a bolt there is a chance that it could sever and break so you'll want to re-install the # C54UR with the correct torque.

  • Will the Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler for 2" Ball Work with 3" Wide Tongue
The Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler for 2" Ball part # C82CR is designed for a standard 2" wide x 3" tall trailer tongue. That said, it will work with any tongue size so long as it's 2" wide. It will not work with a 3" wide tongue. The correct version for a 3" wide trailer tongue is the Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler for 2" Ball part # C54UR. The height also does not matter for this coupler either.
