This coupler features a simple-to-use latching mechanism known as the eZ-Latch. With this mechanism, hooking up is as easy as dropping the coupler over your trailer hitch ball. The latch does not need to be tugged or manually activated to allow the ball into the coupler socket, nor does it have to be secured in place. Just make sure that the coupler is properly lined up with the ball when you lower it, and the rest is automatic.

Bolts onto your 3" wide trailer tongue. 4-Hole bolt-on case.Used this coupler to replace my old surge brakes with an electric over hydraulic actuator. The old surge brake system was integrated into the coupler. This fit perfectly on my 3' tongue and aligns better than the original as this one sets down at the same level as the trailer tongue, not on top of it. The original was 3" higher at the ball which caused my trailer to ride low at the front. The coupler matched up perfectly with the two existing predrilled holes in the tongue, and I drilled two more to utilize (lower all one and 3rd one back on top) all 4 bolts. One thing that was unexpected is that the pin length is longer than the short length bolt cutter proof locks I like to use, but I'm sure I will find an acceptable replacement. There is a secondary pin lock hole that uses available pin locks which I have not tried and have seen questionable reviews for.
Purchased to do away with trailer brakes. It worked perfectly!
This new Demco coupler replaces a lower version Demco plastic handle coupler that came with the trailer. I constantly struggled to uncouple from the ball and at my age it was not a good situation. This better-quality coupler easily uncouples from the ball with no more issues.

Great Coupler, I have a 7000LBs trailer that had a light duty Coupler easy upgrade.

I got exactly what I thought I was getting it bolted on nice I replaced the juice brake tongue changed over to electric brakes everything went well It has an interesting design where you don’t have to mess with the coupler you just set it down on the ball and it locks in place and then drop the safety pin through . It’s sitting in the weather no signs of rust or corrosion
Good product. I put this on so I cold use electric over hydraulic brake system, No more surging for me. also went to 2 inch ball so I standardized all my trailers. Still has the gross weight capacity that is required.
Purchased this coupler for a tandem axle 8000lb boat trailer, one of the few 2" economically priced couplers available with a rating of 10,000lbs. This is well built with staggered mounting holes my tonge is 3"x5" galvanized tubing. This coupler has a auto latch feature and a standard pin lock for the latch. Better than expected quality, would strongly recommend for 10k tube tonge application.

This hitch is exactly like the hitch I needed to replace on my towable lift. The original hitch had a slight bend in it and I did not feel that it was safe to tow the lift. The bolt pattern matched up almost perfectly. One hole is a little off, but very workable. The hitch is well made and will serve its purpose well. The correspondence was excellent between the seller and me. It arrived to me in a timely manner and was well packaged.
Have no installed yet but hitch appears to good. The price was great and very fast shipping

I purchased this to replace the factory coupler on my trailer. The new Demco allows me to lock the trailer in more then one configuration. Bolts transferred from old to new, and fit well. Reason for a rating of 4 stars due to the price point.
This product each on, easy off feature makes it much easier to get the trailer tongue onto and off the tow ball. All boat trailers should be equipped with it.
I was tired of fixing brake pistons and associated parts in a hydraulic coupler. I mounted this and have had zero issues. No regrets.

Yes heavy duty and the easy latch system is a great idea. Easy Bolt on installation. Just drop the coupler on the ball and automatically latches.

Hopefully, you wont be needing those brakes. Some states do require, by law, that trailer brakes be used for specified trailer weights and or sizes. Now, if you are talking about switching over to electric brakes from hydraulic, that is a different story. And in which case, I am glad that this coupler is working well for you!
