modified sine wave inverter

This 12V inverter changes DC output from your RV batteries into AC power so you can plug in tools and appliances. Using modified sine wave technology, it creates a stepped waveform that simulates AC power. This is perfect for resistive loads like electric heaters and toasters. Plus, the inverter can generate 2,000 starting watts and 1,000 running watts which is a great fit for smaller appliances.

Functions and Features

outlets and terminals on inverter

The inverter includes 2 standard North American outlets for AC loads, positive and negative DC input terminals that connect to your batteries, USB port for charging small electronic devices, and a port for a fixed-mount remote (sold separately).

The system includes a number of safety features. It offers protection from over/under voltage and overloading. The inverter also uses a heat sink process to protect from extreme temperatures, and an internal cooling fan removes excess heat from the unit.

fuse block

For additional safety, installing a fuse between the battery bank and the inverter will protect your equipment from power surges. The Go Power 200-amp fuse block (sold separately) works with this unit and uses a slow blow time-delay feature to withstand surge current. This means it can handle short surges over 200 amps without blowing the fuse, which is great for devices with motors that require more energy to start.

How It Installs

The inverter mounts inside your RV in a dry location with ventilation. It should be installed in close proximity to the battery bank, but not in the same compartment. The DC terminals are wired to the battery bank.

Available Fixed-Mount Remote Provides Easy Control

GP-SWR-A inverter remote

The Go Power GP-HD-R Inverter Remote (sold separately) lets you turn your inverter on and off from inside your RV. It also has a LED which indicates the inverter's status.

I have not yet installed the product i ordered because i am in the commercial repair business and specialize in trucks running expedited freight. I. am replacing a bad unit that was equiped with the truck that is currently on the road. As far as the team at e trailer they have been fantastic with updates on my order and let me know right away that my product was on back order, and continued to give me updates when i would recieve it. And they delivered when promised. I will continue to order from them because of the great customer service i recieved even when a product wasnt in stock.

I installed it in my pickup to run tools and such, its working great still, easy install.

  • Do You Have to Use Lithium Batteries With Go Power Solar AE-4 All Electric System
You definitely do not have to use lithium batteries and instead you can use sealed, vented, AGM, or lead acid with the AE-4 system you asked about, which is the following part number: - Go Power Solar AE-4 All Electric System with MPPT Solar Controller - 760 Watt Solar Panels # 342-75010 So you can use whatever battery type you are most comfortable with if you're not a fan of lithium batteries. If you don't have an inverter, you'll also want one to change your battery power from DC to...

  • What Inverter is Required for a Small Dorm Style Refrigerator
I have a solution for you, but the Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter - 1,000 Watts - 12V # 34280176 isn't what I would recommend for use with a refrigerator because it may potentially damage the unit. I also would go with a slightly higher rated inverter to make sure that enough power is available. Instead I recommend using a Pure Sine Wave inverter like the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter - GFCI - 1,500 Watt - 12V # 34279950, which will be well rated to use...

  • Will the Go Power! Overlander Solar Charging System Work on My Cutwater 30 CB Boat?
Yes, I confirmed with my contact at Go Power! that the Overlander Solar Charging System with Digital Solar Controller # 34282181 will be able to work on your Cutwater 30 CB if you have a couple batteries you wish to charge. However, you need to have a battery that can withstand 10 amps (or 30 if you use the controller). Also, there could be an issue if your battery is too small. Anything under 100ah would cause an issue. I recommend having at least 200ah. If you are looking for AC power,...

  • Recommended Solar Panels For RV Use in All Weather & Conditions
So there are a couple really good options for solar panels for the roof of your RV for all types of elements, depending on the power you need. For both wind and all weather, I highly recommend rigid panels over flex panels to resist the wind. And for a controller, an MPPT is necessary, particularly if you are in colder weather, as this type of controller is much more efficient and optimizes the charge your batteries get. Here are the options for you: - 200 Amp Hours of AGM/100 Amp Hours...

It is a complete 5-panel DC-power setup that includes all of the cables and the controller. Its 500-watt output will handle the power needs for many RVs. Please note you can link two of these system together easily enough, to give you a 1000-watt total capacity. Depending on the size of the house and the power requirements this might be enough. The Furrion AC/DC Distribution Panel # FDP12WABL does cover everything you'd need on the output side based on the circuits you are wanting to run in your travel trailer. It can only accept AC power on the input side like you mentioned so you would need an inverter to convert the battery you mentioned from DC to AC. It has a 20 amp receptacle on the back of it like you'd need for the kitchen as well as branches for the other AC power supplies needed as well. On the DC side it has 15 total...

The Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter - 1,000 Watts - 12V Item # 34280176 needs to be mounted on a wall horizontally to properly function. This however is the lowest power level to use and it may still struggle. I recommend using the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter with Transfer Switch - 1,500 Watt - 12V # 34279458. Operating the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter, # 34278156 (2,000 watts) is not a question of what size battery do you need for the inverter but what amount of energy do you need for your task. The inverter will change stored DC energy to an AC type for operating alternating current appliances.
