pure sine wave inverter

This 12V inverter changes DC output from your RV batteries into AC power so you can plug in tools and appliances. Using pure sine wave technology, it creates clean power with low distortion, making it safe, efficient, and perfect for sensitive electronics like computers. Plus, the inverter can generate 2,650 starting watts and 1,500 running watts which is a great fit for appliances and electronics.

Functions and Features

outlets and terminals on inverter

The inverter includes 2 GFCI outlets for AC loads, positive and negative DC input terminals that connect to your batteries, and a port for a fixed-mount remote (sold separately). It has a function switch that lets you select different output voltages (100V, 110V, 115V, and 120V) and frequencies (50Hz and 60Hz). This switch can also turn the power saver on and off. Additionally, the power saving adjustment dial near the function switch sets the input and wake up thresholds for the power saver.

The system includes a number of safety features. It offers protection from over/under voltage, overloading, and overcurrent. The inverter also uses a heat sink process to protect from extreme temperatures, and an internal cooling fan removes excess heat from the unit.

fuse block

For additional safety, installing a fuse between the battery bank and the inverter will protect your equipment from power surges. The Go Power 200-amp fuse block (sold separately) works with this unit and uses a slow blow time-delay feature to withstand surge current. This means it can handle short surges over 200 amps without blowing the fuse, which is great for devices with motors that require more energy to start.

How It Installs

The inverter mounts inside your RV in a dry location with ventilation. It should be installed in close proximity to the battery bank, but not in the same compartment. The DC terminals are wired to the battery bank.

Available Fixed-Mount Remotes Provide Easy Monitoring and Control

There are 2 fixed-mount remotes (sold separately) that let you monitor and control the inverter from inside your RV.

GP-SWR-A inverter remote

For a simple, no-frills option, the Go Power GP-SWR-A Inverter Remote lets you turn your inverter on and off from inside your RV. It also has a LED which indicates the inverter's status.

GP-ISW-R-12 inverter remote

For additional features, the Go Power GP-ISW-R-12 Inverter Remote provides LED indicators that display the voltage, output power, inverter status, power saving mode status, and fault conditions. It also has a power button that controls the inverter.

by:

Works great, the unit is powering a work shed in the backyard. The Inverter is paired up with 400w of solar and two battleborn 100a batteries. The unit replaced a 3000w inverter from another company that fried twice within a year.

by:

The inverter works very well. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the front of the unit is made with cheap plastic. The screws that hold the electric outlet in the front of the unit is embedded into the plastic. The plastic broke the first time I plugged into the outlet. I was leaving in two days to go on a trip to Utah so did not send it back. I voided the warranty by opening the unit, reinforced the outlet by sandwiching the plastic front in between two pieces of aluminum and used screws to hold the outlet in place. Since doing this, everything has worked flawlessly.

I would not buy this item again due to the plastic front.

The inverter is still working great. The 1500 watt inverter will run my 1620 watt microwave. The internal parts of the inverter are top notch. Just had the one problem intially with the cheap plastic case.

by:

Installed easily under a dinette seat for air circulation. Most important is the addition of a large 200 amp power switch/circuit breaker. Also installed remote panel for easy monitoring. This is a nice size for moderate usage of electronic equipment while on the road. Would recommend for its quality and very good instructions.

After some use,the inverter has performed flawlessly. Great product.

One year + later, this inverter is great! I have it connected to two battleborn lithium batteries. We can run our TV although we don’t much, our Microware, or our coffee Kirin machine - of course not all at once. The fan is a bit noisy but it only fires up when drawing heavy from the inverter. Love it and recommend it.

by:

Good advice to help decide which inverter is right for us. Really fast shipping and delivery.

by:

I am always amazed at how well the team and eTrailer service customers. The communication from product purchase to delivery is exceptional. Price/value of products is highly appreciated as well. I always save time and money when going to eTrailer to find parts for my Lance 2445 Trailer.

by:

This product is reliable and works well to the stated 400 watts when the load is steady. I like that this unit works well with my 29.4V DC battery pack (7S). Past 250 watts, even small surges will trip the unit off. At around 250 watts(steady) my quart compressor cooler will kill AC power out when it kicks on. It appears that the 600 watt surge rating is inaccurate.

by:

I have this installed and the included remote does not work as described in the instructions. When not connected to shore power the remote shows the charger function on yet the instructions say this is not an option.

Also, I changed the power saver mode to 15 minutes from the default off. I didn’t see a change in the remote output after several hours.

Less than 10 days after I ordered this etrailer dropped the price $XXX.XX. That’s not insignificant and they wouldn’t do anything for me about it.

by:

I replaced my magnum that went out due to a wiring issue. It was easy to replace for the most part although the wire to the controll panel was 6 wire and the old one was 4. It works very well. All I lost was the self start of the old one. Very good product.

by:

Inverter failed around the one year mark with light use. 1 star for that but 3 stars overall because of GoPowers customer service who provided a replacement without trouble.

by:

Installed last year in a horse trailer with living quarters. Using with a pair of Dakota lithium batteries. Works great. Powers Microwave with ease. love the ability to pull from battery while also using generator; i can run both microwave and coffee maker together like this.

Points of note:
1) When inverter is turned on there is a quiet weird chirp occasionally. If you're a light sleeper sensitive to sounds, be prepared for a "what is that?" if it is installed in the LQ area.
2) If batteries are full and i plug in my Furman generator (Costco purchased from Costco), the generator gets tripped in to overload when float charging is enabled. Not an issue when charging batteries.

by:

Product works designed. It was professionally installed along with instant hot water and 4 vmax tanks.

by:

Perfect to charge phones, computers, and other electronic items with off grid. And use my CPAP.

by:

etrailer always does great!

by:

Great price and very fast shipping. Best place for all your trailer needs

by:

We are currently working on hooking up the inverter we ordered from etrailer for the maiden voyage in our new trailer. It appeared these items would not be arriving before we left, but after a quick phone call to etrailer and a conversation with Steve Z. in customer service our inverter was on it's way by 10:00 am that morning. It did indeed arrive in 2 days giving us time to hook this up. We were thrilled as we wanted to put this trailer to work off the grid. Great service. Thank you so much.

by:

I finally received my Go Power IC3000 after a nearly three-week delay. Unfortunately, I missed my window of opportunity to get it installed this year, so I am not able to complete a review of the product at this time. I can say, installation is going to be quite a challenge. The item is large and heavy. Finding a suitable location that meets all the requirements is going to be difficult. The batteries are located at the front of the trailer, while the AC lines are on the other side of the basement. Since the inverter cannot be located in the same area as the batteries, I'm not sure I am going to be able to reach everything and maintain the 10' maximum length requirement of the 0000 DC cable. We will see what happens next spring. I will post a follow-up review post-installation if possible.

by:

Everything went well. I’m very pleased with the service & Inverter.

  • Will 1,500 Watt Inverter 34279950 be Able to Run Splendide Washer
Yes, you will be able to run a Splendide washer with the Go Power inverter you asked about, which is the following part: - Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter - GFCI - 1,500 Watt - 12V # 34279950 This inverter is rated for 1,500 running watts, and based on my research, the maximum watts a Splendide washer uses is 1,300 watts and there won't be any type of issue with codes. I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.

  • Can The Progressive Dynamics PD44FR Inverter Be Installed Without A Subpanel
No, the Progressive Dynamics 1800 Watt Inverter w/ Transfer Switch # PD44FR requires a sub panel regardless of what you're powering. The AC circuit breaker you're referencing wouldn't have power unless you were connected to shore power, which would eliminate the need for the inverter anyway. Inverters receive power from the battery and send that to one bus bar to power it and send power through any circuits on it. Without a subpanel you'd just create a power loop and drain the battery....

  • Using a Trailer's DC Battery to Power AC Electronics
If you'd like to run your AC-powered appliances from your DC battery, then you need an inverter that will convert the direct current into an alternating current. The 7-way won't power the AC appliances directly; the inverter will take the power from your RV battery. I recommend the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter, part # 34279950. It's good for sensitive electronics like HDTVs. It also includes LED indicators to show levels and fault conditions. To ensure you don't completely...

The cable length for the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter # 34279950 can't extend past 10' so you would need to either install a second battery closer to the fridge or use a different style inverter, like the Progressive Dynamics 1800 Watt Inverter w/ Transfer Switch # PD44FR. • Can Go Power 1,500 Watt Inverter be Wired Into Transfer Switch in Place of Generator
Since a transfer switch will only switch between two ac sources, if your initial transfer switch only has shore power connected to it then you could wire in the Go Power Inverter # 34279950 you referenced to provide power to the coach. You need to be conscious of what loads you try to run using the inverter (being careful not to exceed 1500 watts). Be sure to wire the converter into the switch and be mindful that you don’t want the converter to be powered by the inverter. Pulling power...
