The Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter - 1,000 Watts - 12V Item # 34280176 needs to be mounted on a wall horizontally to properly function. It needs to have plenty of space and needs to be well ventilated to allow proper cooling. Do not mount the inverter on any kind of rug or carpet or place combustible materials around the inverter as it produces sparks and heat when operating and could cause a fire.
