The air conditioner main circuit board burned a relay 4 months into ownership. The upside was the customer service was good. The downside is that you have to go through the manufacturer to get warranty. They sent parts quickly, but I am a certified ac tech and when the labor was submitted they only paid $30 for 3 hours of troubleshooting and repair.

by:

I recently had a problem with my roof top a/c sent parts to etrailer..
Donna called me and she spent the whole morning.. working on getting me parts..I needed to get my AC fixed...
These are people who really care

When I purchased it from the William.
Helped me through the order...nice people good warranty on part...
I would recommend buying from them

We operate an Epoxy Coating business in Florida and we purchased this unit for our work trailer. Summers are crazy hot and we need to keep our coating products cool so they don't flash off and cure before we have time to spread it out and that's where this A/C unit comes in... plus we can take a break in AC which is always nice.

by:

We installed this on our houseboat and it has worked well for us. Installaion on the roof was easy. We had to convert it over to 12v, and we also had to get wire to run to the thermostat. The A/C unit has kept the inside of the boat very comfortable.

by:

Easy to install where old unit was. Runs great!

by:

I have bought three different RV a/c units from etrailer.com along with other items. The items are always as expected and I like the fact that they take the time to provide plenty of info on the products, pictures, documentation and even video reviews. I will continue to order my products for all of my trailer needs.

In regards to this product, it was a direct replacement for my 10 year old Dometic ducted unit. I was able to swap out everything with ease.

by:

Had to manufacture air distribution box since ac unit only comes with side air outlet. The supplied version is designed for side to side plenum not front to back like I have. Had issue with thermostat installation but was digital power box fault. New one was sent by manufacturer. Once all things got done it cooled the RV. Recommend unit be used only for side to side plenum or single straight out. It is not universal with parts supplied as stated in brochure.

by:

AC Unit performs well. The Air Distribution Box was looks very nice, but is advertised for ducted or ductless installations. The large output vents on the distribution box are blocked off with an insulated plate, forcing all the air to go out the tiny vents on the sides. I contacted eTrailer support to determine if removing the insulated plate was allowed, but they recommended contacting the manufacturer. I contacted Advent support and they were surprised to learn that the Air Distribution Box was being marketed as Ductless, as it is intended for ducted systems only. Advent support did indicate that I could remove the insulated plate if I desired. After removing the plate, airflow dramatically increased (shocker, I know) and I am thrilled with the performance and the remote thermostat. (Advent promised to contact eTrailer and discuss the ducted/ductless marketing, but since it's still up as ductless, I guess they either didn't follow up or eTrailer decided that it will work)

by:

Great prices, excellent customer service.
Looking
forward to doing business with y'all again.

It takes a very long time to cool down the small space
Very very noisy impossible to sleep with a/c on
Defenetly the wrong purchase.
I am very sorry for buying this two units from you.
If I have a choice I would replace them asap.

by:

This ac was so easy to install!!! I’ve never installed an AC before in a camper and replacing my roof vent with it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. The instructions left a little to be desired as they didn’t translate very well to English and skipped the key component of the fact you have to have a 12v line ran to the unit from a separate source. Other than that it was perfect and installed in about an hour and a half.

by:

Very please with the A/C unit, distribution box, and thermostat. Easy to install and works like a charm.

by:

Works great, cools very well

by:

good, but noisy

  • What Air Distribution Box Goes Along With An Advent Air RV Rooftop AC Unit
We don't carry Dometic AC units so I wouldn't be able to replace the broken plastic on your Dometic air distribution box. If you want to completely swap out your air distribution box you'll also need to replace the thermostat as well and should just go ahead and get the entire system (rooftop unit, air distribution box, wall thermostat) in a package instead of piecing the parts together with separately with the # ACDOM150 and # ACRG15. For a white shroud you'll want part # ADV64FR and...

  • Is There An Auto Setting For The Fan On The Advent RV Air Conditioner
The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat # ADV64FR does have an auto setting that will kick the fan off and on as needed to your set temperature. That being said on most RV air conditioners the temperature sensor is actually up in the air distribution box in the ceiling and if the fan isn't running then it isn't going to pull the warm air up past it and tell the condenser to kick on which could lead to your trailer being hotter than you have it set for.

  • How To Clear Error Codes On An Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System Thermostat
To reset the thermostat of your Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ADV64FR you'll need to complete the following steps: Start with Thermostat in Off mode. Press and hold both the mode and fan button at the same time in the Off mode. Continue to press both buttons and press the power button and then release all 3 buttons. The LCD will flash On/Off while pressing all 3 buttons. Once the buttons are released the LCD will turn off and the system has been reset to factory settings and should...

  • Troubleshooting An E5 Error Code On An Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System
An E5 error code simply means there's a communication error between the relay box # PXXACRG12RB and the thermostat. If you're hooking it directly to the relay box without any extra wire and it's wired correctly and you're still getting the E5 error then either the relay box or thermostat is defective and needs to be replaced. Just to make sure you have it wired correctly I've listed the wire colors from the relay box and their connections on the thermostat below: Blue: A Purple: B Green:...

  • Recommended Replacement Option For Dometic Duo-Therm AC On A 2008 Gulf Stream Tour Master Motorhome
If you're replacing the controller you would want to replace the entire system. Your system's rooftop unit hasn't been confirmed to work with a different controller and with yours not having a 6 or 9-pin connector you'd have no way of connecting it to a new controller. For this I recommend the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ADV64FR so that you can have a digital wall thermostat. I do recommend also picking up the start capacitor # ACMSCKIT to help lower the starting wattage needed...

  • Recommended Replacement Air Conditioner for an Atwood Air Conditioner 15022

  • Can Carrier AC be Replaced if Thermostat is Bad
You can replace your Carrier AC if your thermostat is bad, but you would need an all-new unit (including the thermostat) instead of the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Carrier Setup # ACCAR150. The reason for that is this unit includes a wiring adapter that plugs into a Carrier set up that is in working order, so it wouldn't function without the wiring working properly. So what you can use instead is a unit from Advent that comes with everything you need, including a thermostat;...

  • Recommended Advent Air Replacement For A Coleman 45000 Series RV AC System

You can always go with a higher BTU rating than what your system is but you wouldn't want to go lower. • What is the Decibel Rating for the Advent AC
Hey Kevin, the Advent AC # ADV79FR has a decibel rating of 76. For the mounting hardware, since this is just a replacement top unit you'd need to reuse your existing hardware which is why there aren't any included because it could be different from trailer to trailer. If you were planning on adding a new system, then you'd want # ADV64FR which does include all the mounting hardware.

The Air Distribution Box w/ Wall-Mounted Thermostat for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners # ACRG15 houses the controller for the system so you would have to replace the your current distribution box/controller and thermostat. There hasn't been any testing to confirm that the Dometic rooftop unit would be compatible with this part, but if it has a 6-pin connector you could try it out.
