Can Wall Thermostat be Added to Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Carrier Setup
Question:
I have a 30’ 2007 travel trailer that has a carrier ducted unit. I do not have the remote control so it only works using the “emergency” air button. Will the advent air system replace this and include a remote?

The Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Carrier Setup w/ Start Capacitor # ACCAR135 will match up to your current Carrier AC wiring but since it's for a ducted unit it's designed to work with the current wiring system that's in place. The only way to get this with a remote is if you also have the Air Distribution Box w/ Wall-Mounted Thermostat # ACRG15 which is designed for non-ducted units.
If you're okay with using a whole new system then you can use the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat # ADV64FR rated for 15,000 Btu instead. This is a little more powerful and requires a complete installation as opposed to plug and play but it will get the job done and prevent you from having to use the emergency air button on your current setup.
