The unit function is stellar blows cold, my only complaint would be Furrion needs to design a better air distribution box.

by:

Thank you Arthur for helping with getting all of the necessary parts needed to replace my AC. The parts came quickly to my site and I'm good condition.

by:

If you’re not replacing a Furrion you will need the inside distribution panel. I had a Domedic and the inside panel does not fit. Very satisfied with the Furrion Chill HE.

Installed this unit in about an hour. True plug and play!! I had to use different holes in the bracket inside, but fit perfect. The only challenge I had for being 63 years old is getting it on the roof and the old unit down. The John Deere with front end loader with forks and a pallet did the trick! Thanks to my wife who is always ready to dial 911!! Thanks to Alyssa J for your help with the purchase. Also, the Dometic distribution box and thermostat worked with the Furrion.

by:

The air conditioner was shipped very fast. Received the unit two days before the original shipment date. The serviceman installed the unit and it is working fine. Only thing the fed-ex ship in on the side of the box and placed the unit in my shed upside down because your shipping department didn’t tape the bottom of the box that can damage a air conditioner!! Time Will tell!! Thank you Kelly for everything!!! Eddie Paparo

by:

We received the AC, installed and working very well. Bought 1 Furrion 2 weeks earlier, 2nd Furrion on Aug. 20th 2023 and with both units on my 2013 Palomino Columbus 5th wheel with the outside temp at 107 degrees today here in Kirvin TX, they are keeping the inside temp at 76 degrees with no trouble. I am very pleased with these two ACs. They are also much quieter then the old Dometic ACs they replaced.

by:

Excellent unit!! Cools the camper quick ly!!!

by:

Package showed up earlier than expected. Packing was right and no damage from shipping. The extra box for wiring harness, metal brackets, and mounting bolts was complete. I haven't installed yet. This was just a review on proper packing, no damages, completeness of all components. Great job!

by:

Great experience from stay to finish. Got what we ordered and quickly.

  • AC Unit Recommendation for Enclosed Race Trailer
I prefer the Furrion AC units over the Advent Air ones as they tend to blow colder air. For a single unit I'd go with the 15k BTU part # FR58PR which is for non-ducted applications like your enclosed trailer.

  • What Causes Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioner to Leak Through Vents and Coils to Freeze
There are a few reasons that the Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioner like part # FR58PR may be leaking. The most common is simply a blocked/clogged drain. The other reason could however be a leak at the roof gasket. The drain should be able to be unclogged without replacing anything but if the gasket is bad you'll need a new one, the Roof Air Conditioner Gasket Kit part # FR78NR. In regards to the coils freezing, this is usually caused by the freeze sensors either not being installed correctly...

  • Is The Furrion For Coleman Setup Compatible With A Dometic RV Air Conditioner System
The Furrion Chill Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup # FR42PV comes with a 6-pin to 9-pin wiring harness adapter so if your current Dometic AC system uses a 9-pin connection you can connect the adapter to allow the Furrion unit to plug into your Dometic controller. A lot of Dometic Ac systems come with a heat pump which will always have a 9-pin connection. If yours has a heat pump you won't even need to look and will already know you need the adapter. If you look at the...

  • Troubleshooting Furrion AC Unite That Cools Well But Drips Everywhere
The Furrion Chill Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Furrion Setup - 15,000 Btu - Black # FR58PR does come with a gasket on the bottom of the unit to keep water from entering the vehicle. It sounds like either the drainage openings are clogged up or that gasket seal either wasn't placed correctly or has been damaged. I recommend checking the drainage openings first because condensation is definitely expected and ensuring those drains are open is what will keep water from backing up and...

  • Is Furrion Chill AC Available with a Heat Coil
None of our Furrion Chill AC units, like part # FR58PR, come with a heat coil or pump so you would just be relying on this for cold air OR you could use the Advent Air Setup # ACM150BCH which comes with a heat strip. When is comes to the installation you will need a 14-1/4" square opening and you'll want to have some kind of support system to help keep the roof in good shape. We don't have an installation video of an AC unit on a cargo trailer, but we do have a video of the MaxxFan Deluxe...

  • What is the Difference Between the Furrion Chill HE and the Furrion Chill A/C?
The only real differences between the Furrion Chill Premium RV Air Conditioner System # FR26PR and the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR58PR is the BTU rating, other than that they are the exact same. For your 2021 Heartland Fuel 265 I recommend going with Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR55PV because it has a higher BTU rating, and is a bit quieter when running which over time I believe it would be worth it.

  • Recommended Replacement For A Dometic BV59186 15K BTU RV Air Conditioner
If you're just wanting to replace the only the rooftop unit and retain use of your current thermostat and controller then you'll be able to swap over to Furrion, but you'll lose the heat pump function. Most AC units have either a 6-pin or 9-pin wire harness connector so you'll need to get into the air distribution box under the living room unit and determine what style connector it has. • Can A Heat Strip Be Added To A Furrion AC Unit Connected To A Dometic AC System
There are heat strip options for the Furrion Chill HE # FR58PR, but they would require replacing the controller and air distribution box/ thermostat of your Dometic system. This can be done with either the Furrion Heat Strip - Manual # FR35SR and Air Distribution Box # FR28PR or Furrion Heat Strip - Electric # FR27PR, Air Distribution Box # FR57PR, and Premium Wall Thermostat # FR33PR.

You may want to consider the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner with Ceiling Vent and Start Capacitor - Black # ACM135BC or the larger # ACM150BC which will give you the non-ducted assembly as well as the black cover. This AC unit also has the start capacitor for storing energy to make startup easier under less power draw, which is really nice with certain RV power supply locations. Next you'll want to remove the shroud of the rooftop unit to check the BTU rating. There should be a sticker somewhere on it that states either 13,500 or 15,000 BTU's.
