all good, easy installation the unit works ok.

After a year my ac equipment works perfectly well, for my part I keep the air filter clean for its best performance, as an air conditioning connoisseur I like that the coils are made of copper, this metal is durable and resistant.

by:

Our RV was not prewired for 2nd AC so that was the hard part. This ac pours out the cold air and allows 5th wheel to cool down quickly after long hot travel days. Good instructions.

by:

Overall I would say it’s a good replacement AC for the price.

Pros:
Price point - It’s reasonably priced.
It cools my 23ft camper very well.

Cons:
It only blows air in one direction, which happens to be towards the rear of my camper. The RV tech who did the job said it could only be installed in one position, which happens to direct the cool air towards the back. I use a small table top fan to direct the cooler air towards the front of the camper.

The digital thermostat in the AC seems to read about 5° warmer than the actual temperature in the camper, especially on hotter days.

I’ve noticed some apparent condensation dripping in the floor after turning it off for travel.

If I had known these 3 issues, I probably would have spent a little more money and bought a better unit.

by:

Overall an easy install. Would have been 5 stars but the discharge is a bit noisy….maybe it would be quieter if it was ducted instead of a direct dump airflow

AC has been working great…it is a 2nd unit that direct dumps into the main room of the 5th wheel. The primary unit pulls from that room and distributes throughout the camper via the ducts. It’s been amazing camping on the sand in Destin in t he middle of summer and not having the units run all day…definitely cools faster after initial setup at any camp site….highly recommend. A 2nd unit, not necessarily this unit, although this one has worked as expected

by:

I've put in 5 of these AC units so far (south texas) and have had no complaints. Fairly simple installation, but I highly suggest you use an RV Technician. Everything works great until it doesn't. Then you need to know what to test to determine if the problem is you or the product. Advent is cheaper than going OEM and will hopefully last the life of any used RV. The most important thing to making an AC last, is regular preventative maintenance. Something most people neglect. E-trailer is great to work with when ordering and helping you troubleshoot any issues over the phone. Delivery is just as quick as most other RV suppliers out there.

The company done great letting me know about shipping and arrival date . Unit did sustain some shipping damage . Main frame base was dented. Install for a replacement unit was not bad . Had to rework the opening and adjust mounting brackets . Instructions were easy to follow . The addition of the optional plenum for thicker roofs was a time saver . Wiring was a bit of an issue . No where in the product description or instructions did it state about having to supply additional 12vdc . Most units use a step down transformer in the PCB . This unit does not come to find out . Could not figure out why the thermostat harness didn’t have 12v dc coming out . After a call to Advent , I was informed to supply 12Vdc from an outside source ! After this hiccup, the job went smoothly. Unit does a great job cooling, and is quiet. Thermostat is easy to navigate through. Unit looks nice inside and out . Just not sure how long the rubber bands are going to hold up retaining the filter in the Florida heat .

The unit has performed very well. No issues thus far . Still very cool and quiet.

Nice looking unit haven’t installed yet

by:

arrived mid winter in a damaged box with abroken cover and a dent on the unit. i paid to have it installed in the spring and it worked twice. my hvac guy tested it and could only pull 4 amps on the compressor. i ewailed etrailer and realized what a pain it would be to get it replacd. i bought a oem unit and gave the advent to the installer to see if he could fix it. no problems on oem

by:

I recieved the AC unit on time with no damages to the box. Installed it easily and started it up. So nice to have cool air in the trailer!

by:

Product is great, shipped fast and works amazing. Only reason for 4 stars is the instructions could be better.
All said, works awesome, and easy to install.

by:

Had to wait for stock but arrived quicker than expected.

by:

Great AC, I installed this as an add on to my camper and it's colder than the factory Dometic AC.

  • Air Conditioner That Is Non-Ducted With A 13,500 Btu Capacity And A Thermostat Recommendation
While we don't carry a Dometic AC that is non-ducted, and is a 13,500 Btu unit, I have an alternate solution. The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat # ADV94FR will work great for you. This unit has a 13,500 Btu capacity, is non-ducted, and has a wall mounted thermostat. This unit is white in color, but if you prefer black, you can use # ADV44FR instead.

  • Recommended AC Unit for 2021 Gulf Stream Vintage Cruiser Travel Trailer
If your 2021 Gulf Stream Vintage Cruiser Travel Trailer has or had, an Advent or Dometic AC unit previously installed, this is a great option. It will require either the Coleman Mach Adapter Wiring Kit, # ACCOLKIT or the Carrier Adapter Wiring Kit, # ACCARKIT depending on which type of unit was previously installed. If you are installing a new set-up in your travel trailer that has never had an AC unit installed, or no remaining thermostat or air distribution box, I recommend the Advent...

  • Best Replacement Air Conditioner Unit for Dometic Duo Therm 59516.531
For an RV with a currently installed Dometic AC unit, I recommend the Advent Air for Dometic Setups, # ACDOM150. This is a 15K btu unit and will easily install using the existing wiring. With this you can continue to use the currently installed thermostat that you have operating your furnace.

  • Does Advent Air RV Air Conditioner ADV94FR Shut Off Automatically at Set Temperature
Hi Mike, thanks for the question and the answer is yes it does. The thermostat of the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ADV94FR has an Auto setting so the compressor and fan will go off automatically once the desired temperature is hit. The compressor will go off first, then the fan will stop 30 seconds afterwards.

  • Recommended Complete AC Setup for an Older Coleman Mach Air Conditioner
I went ahead and checked that part number you provided, and it looks like that corresponds to a Coleman Mach air conditioner. Since there aren't any individual replacement parts for the Coleman Mach Air Conditioner available, your only real option is for a complete AC swap. I recommend going with the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ADV94FR. This is a fairly economical option that will provide you with a brand new air distribution box, air conditioner, and a wall mounted thermostat.

  • Recommended Ductless Air Conditioner to Replace Fan
We can get your Keystone Montana set up with an added air conditioner to replace your current fan. I really like the Furrion Chill systems as they tend to be quieter than others, and gives you really nice cooling via its air distribution box that has the controls directly on it. For a smaller AC, like you mentioned, there is a 13,500 Btu unit that will be perfect, and is the following part number: - Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR52PR

  • Recommended AC Unit For A Small Livestock Trailer
When it comes to adding an AC Setup on your livestock trailer, I recommend the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 13,500 Btu # ADV94FR. This system is compatible with a ductless or ducted system. It will fit roofs between 2-1/2 inches to 5 inches thick. The opening size on the roof of your livestock trailer will need to be 14-1/4 inch long by 14-1/4 inch wide.

  • Can An Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System Be Connected To A Wireless Thermostat
The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ADV94FR controller would have to be wired to some sort of receiver that was wirelessly connected to the thermostat in order to communicate with the system. I've attached the wiring diagram for the thermostat for the portion of this system's controller so that you at least know the wire...

  • Can Two RV AC Units be Ran Off 30 Amp Power Source
RV AC units like the Advent Air part # ADV94FR that you referenced are designed to fit 14 inch by 14 inch roof openings so since your opening is 24 by 26 inch it would not work as-is unless you were willing to fabricate a smaller hole somehow.
