Advent Air Air Distribution Box

This air distribution box with a built-in thermostat works with Advent Air AC units (sold separately) and ductless RV air conditioner systems. The dial on the left controls the 3 fan speed settings, which let you increase or decrease the airflow. It also controls the 3 cool settings and the heat setting. The dial on the right allows you to set the temperature. Additionally, there are adjustable registers on the front and back of the box. These can be tilted up, down, or side-to-side for directing the air where needed. The removable air filter prevents dust and dirt from building up on the fan blades.

My contact, William, was awesome and worked with me to have my product delivered as quickly as possible. Would totally recommend e-trailers and will use them again in the future.

by:

The air box that you sent me had already been installed by someone. Whoever installed it had damaged the unit to the point of not being usable. They put the unit back in the box without using the original packaging that was enclosed. You for some unknown reason sent the damaged unit to me without proper packing. When I received the box I noticed that contents were loose and rattling around. After opening the box, it was obvious to me what had happened. I realize that mistakes are made, but this is inexcusable. I have requested a replacement unit and have been informed that it should arrive on Wednesday. I will be shipping the damaged unit back. Please don't ship- it to someone else.

I am sorry that you received the unit in such a condition. I can assure you that we will not be shipping that unit out to anyone else. I see that your new unit should have arrived by now. I would love to hear your updated feedback on your experience, and/or your thoughts on the product.

by:

Quick delivery , fair price and great product . Easy install and works fine. I will recommend etrailer to everyone!

by:

Me thinking that the distribution box with the the thermostat was a remote. When I received it I called in and the fellow was very helpful got me hooked up with the unit with the controls on the box and when it arrived and I opened it that's when all hell broke loose. The 1st thing I noticed was the metal part was bent pretty bad, but me being an old body man I'm thinking hammering it out, well that was the 1st mistake , then after I installed that part, installing the cover should of been child's play but that's when I wished I would of sent it back, but no. The main and most concerning issue is, after installing the cover went to install the knobs and that's when I seen yet another issue, both of the switch shafts where bent, upon further inspection the shaft on both switches has been pushed into the switch, the knobs would not stay on so I had to glue em on. At this point it is installed and working OK but it is not rite. I do understand should of sent it back but I was determined to get it installed for an upcoming race. Do as you wish with this info.O' the case itself has a Crack in one corner.

That does not sound like a lot of fun. Customer Service will be in touch with you to work something out.

by:

Exactly what was advertised. Saved some money compared to the other options and installation was easy. I replaced a 20 year old Dometic and it was done it about 30 minutes.

by:

Very fast delivery time. Excellent packaging to help prevent damage during shipment. Haven't installed parts yet but everything looks good.

by:

Exactly as advertised, installed myself. If you aren't doing business with etrailer, you get what you deserve.

by:

Love this product. I bought this to replace my carrier a/c unit because my thermostat wasn't working properly Boy, does it blow out the coldest air. I would recommend this product to anyone. Made the right decision, would buy again in the future.

The best unit I ever bought. Do recommend this unit. Will buy again if my old unit dont function.

by:

I am very pleased with my order. The AC works very well and customer service was outstanding. Paula at etrailer went above and beyond to get my order shipped very quickly. I have told all my friends about her and etrailer and would highly recommend them to anyone shopping for rv parts.

by:

Fantastic, easy install on standard vent fan opening 14” x 14”. Outside unit installed easily. Some minor adjustments for interior AC control unit.

by:

Everything went together well. The instructions said to tighten the mounting bot to 50 inch pounds, but the gasket didn’t squash down to the half inch they specified. I just tightened as much as I dared and everything sealed up okay. We installed the soft start capacitor with the new AC unit, and it was all way cheaper than any other option out there for a new unit.

by:

I recently installed the Advent AC unit. Am very pleased with the unit. Camping last week with temps as high as 33 C and it kept our motorhome very comfortable. Also, thanks to the staff that helped me. Very pleasant, helpful, and knowledgable.

by:

All arrived in good shape. A little mysterious for installing the capacitor with two black wires to connect.

by:

Very nice unit. I replaced an old year 2010 unit on my RVision Trail Sport 28 ft. travel trailer. It fit the opening the roof with no problem, but I had to do a little adjusting on the inside of trailer. If your handy with small tools and good mechanical thinking ability this unit will work fine. Nothing is simple for all situations. I'm do it again. Once in,woks great!

by:

The distribution box assembly was very strait forward. we had to extend the air plenum, purchase long nuts, and 3/8 bolts because the roof was 6 inches thick. otherwise, the installation went very well!

by:

DOA. Had to pay money to a RV repairman to prove it was defective. Never got reimbursed.

I am so sorry to hear that this arrived DOA. I do see that per ASA, if an item arrives DOA on arrival, then it needs to be replaced. It seems that they wont have any replacements any time soon. We should be having some in our stock by the end of the year. Please let me know if you would like to wait for a replacement or if you would prefer to have a refund and return issued.

by:

I got my order today as you said I would. It is the exact parts I needed and ordered. There was no damages. Tjanks folks! Yall helped me alot. I will be ordering again from you folks.

by:

This fit our older Weekend Warrior toy box perfectly. Over the years we have encountered things that are not available for our older model. This fit PERFECTLY. I measured the opening, looked up the item and bought it in December 2021. It sat for four months until we were able to install it. We took out the old one, put in the new one (it was pretty easy to put in, harder to get it up on the roof), plugged it all in and it worked perfectly. It was getting hot (Arizona) and we live in our RV full time. It started working right away and stayed on 7/24 until Sept. Everything went to smoothly! We have bought from eTrailer before and they've been great. Will use them again.

by:

Works great

by:

The product was very comparable to what we replaced and works fine.I've used this company 3 times within the last month and they have the right products.

by:

I have had this for a year and I am a full-time RVer. So far this unit has met or exceeded my expectations.

by:

Good customer service and product arrived as scheduled.

by:

Terrific personal service, delivery ahead of schedule, great product!

  • Is a Ceiling Vent Assembly Required to Switch from Carrier AC to Advent Air AC on a Keystone Outback
Whether your AC system is ducted or non-ducted there will be a ceiling unit. You would not have to replace the ceiling unit that you already have if you are just switching out the outside air conditioner that sits on the roof. If for some reason you do not have a ceiling unit inside the trailer then you would need one, # ACDB, to switch air conditioners to Advent Air Replacement Rooftop RV Air Conditioner for Carrier Setup # ACCAR150.

  • Adding Heat Strip to Advent AC Unit that Does not Have Knobs on Vent Assembly

  • Recommended Replacement AC for a General Electric RV AC
Relatively speaking yes, you'll just swap out your GE AC with a different AC like the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner # ACM150 with the Air Distribution Box w/ Built-In Thermostat for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners # ACDB as your existing distribution box and thermostat are not going to be compatible. This AC has a 15.5K BTU capacity, will fit roofs that are 2-1/2" to 5" thick, and is compatible with ducted & ductless systems.

  • Does the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner ACM150B Come with Start Capacitor
The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner part # ACM150B doesn't come with a start capacity but you can add one easily using the Start Capacitor for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners part # ACMSCKIT. Please note, it also does not come with a distribution box but you can also add one easily using the Air Distribution Box for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners part # ACDB. If you need a complete kit then I recommend simply using the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner Kit part # ACM150BC because it comes with...

If you're referring to the Air Distribution Box # ACDB of an Advent Air RV Air Conditioner then the knob with the line that goes from small to large is the temperature, with the smaller side being warmer and larger side being colder. The other knob is for your modes and will let you switch between low, med, high settings for both cooling and fan modes. • How to Determine if Advent Air Conditioner Will Fit Trailer
It is highly likely that you can use the Advent AC where the vent is now on your car trailer, though we do not have any specific blueprints or diagrams or any way to know the size of your trailer's vent opening. In order to use the Advent Air Rooftop RV Air Conditioner # ACM135 (White) or # ACM135B (Black) you would need the Ceiling Vent Assembly # ACDB and these will fit a roof opening of 14-1/4" long x 14-1/4" wide, which is the standard size opening for trailer vents so it is very likely...

  • Will Fan Keep Running for Air Distribution Box w/ Built-In Thermostat
The Air Distribution Box w/ Built-In Thermostat for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners # ACDB will keep the fan of the Advent air conditioner running but only the fan. When the thermostat sees the temperature raise above the desired setting then it will kick the compressor back on so the cooling feature will start up again. This is actually an industry standard when it comes to RV air conditioners.

That said, I am not sure how old your current unit is, but a new upgraded distribution box might be a good idea. If by replacement fan and motor you mean the Ceiling Vent Assembly # ACDB for non-ducted or # ACRG15 for ducted RVs then we carry those as the above mentioned part numbers.
