Advent Air Conditioner Replacement For Carrier Air V With Bad Control Board
Question:
I have a 2005 outback with the carrier air v .my unit stops working after a few minutes and flashes 5 blinks. I was told the control board was bad . Will this, advent unit ACCAR150 solve my problem and will I still be,able to us the remote

While do we have an option for you, since your Carrier unit's control board is in the distribution box, what you will need is a new AC unit, because just replacing the top unit won't allow your AC to work. So what you will need instead is the following Advent AC, and you can choose from either White or Black:
- White: Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat - 15,000 Btu # ADV64FR
- Black: Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat - 15,000 Btu # ADV74FR
This will give you a new set up that will work for either ducted or ductless systems and has a handy wall thermostat to make it easy to use the AC. The only other think I recommend adding, in order to store power and help jumpstart your AC is a start capacitor, the Start Capacitor for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners # ACMSCKIT.
