Replacement Pigtail Needed for Type 1/ACME Fitting to Regulator

Question:

How do i go about choosing a replacement regulator fitting? The one that is currently on my 2010 KZ 16BH camper is the old style that requires a 7/8 anytime I have to change the tank. Id like to replace the connector with the hand cranked one that goes on to the new style propane tanks.

It sounds like you have a POL fitting for your propane and you are wanting to change to a Type 1/ACME propane fitting. You can definitely do this as long as you use the newer propane tanks that have the threads on the outside of the tank valve.

To accomplish this you need the Propane Pigtail # 100575-15-MBS. If your regulator doesn't already have the brass fitting for the inverted flare side you also need the adapter # 402258-MBS. Using the inverted flare fitting means you don't have to use a thread sealer if you have to remove and then install the pigtail. That inverted flare fitting gives you a better seal.

Attached is a helpful article on propane fittings for you to reference.
