Unique offset design guarantees superior performance.This is the second Fulton swing tongue I have installed on a boat trailer. I installed one on a 3x3 tongue about 10 yrs ago and have towed that boat between MI and FL each year with no issues. Installed the 3x5 model on a new boat trailer 2 days ago. This trailer tongue was much thicker steel and was more difficult to cut and drill. The only issue encountered was the corners of the interior channel of tongue were slightly rounded. The holes for the bolts were close to sides of tongue and nuts with built in washers did not want to seat flat against steel due to that. This was fixed by grinding off the washer part of nut on one side and putting that part against the tongue sidewall. It was just a little more work. They tongue hinges are great to enable you to put your boat on the garage and still walk around it. Highly recommended!
This is really going to save steps and my shins. It took 8 months to recieve this part due to being back ordered from the manufacturer. Installation took around 3 hours and other than drilling 16, 1/2" holes, was easy. The delivery company was brutal with the package delivery, the box was broke open and the hinge pin was left out when box was taped closed. Ed W. Jumped on replacing it without hesitation and it should be here soon. Thanks Ed and Bailey B. For being on top of things so professionally.
This was a must have for us to be able to fit our boat in the garage. I am very pleased with the results and how great of quality this product is. After one year still looks great, no signs of wearing off. etrailer knowledge and professional customer service made our purchase experience easy.
This is an excellent item that gives me an extra 2 feet in the garage which is a big deal in my cramped space. Straight forward installation was no problem just make sure your holes are drilled correctly. They do include a drill punch with the kit which makes marking the drill points a snap! Haven't towed yet but looks stout enough to have no problems. Thank you!

This coupler works a designed. Installation was fairly easy. It did take apx 6 months to get it which is no fault of etrailer. There was an issue with shipping. It was shipped in the original factory box. That box apparently fell apart sometime during shipping and was reboxed by the freight company. Some hardware was missing when I received it. I was able to find the missing hardware locally at my expense.
The Fulton Fold-Away Hinge Kit Folding Tongue which I purchased for my pontoon boat trailer was recommended by a local trailer supplier. My trailer tongue was three feet too long to fit into the storage unit I used for the trailer and I needed a way to shorten the trailer without making major changes. The Hinge Kit was the answer and the only difficult part was cutting the steel trailer tongue so that I could attach the hinge. I was very impressed with the kit and the way the instructions led me step by step with the installation.
The job took about four hours and the finished product allowed me to fold back the tongue once the trailer was in the storage unit without any difficulty.

It is working great and is exactly as described ... it allows me the extra room I need when I put the trailer into storage.
Good solid product for people who need it.. To bad you lose almost half the carry capacity by shorting the tongue...
As usual with etrailer, service was excellent. The product too seems to be exactly what I need, but I won't be able to find out until spring when I pull the boat out of storage. Appears to be well built and should fit well. Roger

Package was wrapped in packing tape due to parts of box flaps missing. Upon opening, less than half of contents were in the box. I called customer service to explain what I received. I needed the parts for a Labor Day weekend project, and had borrowed tools for the task. Was told by customer service that a replacement could not be shipped overnight, as they do not have that capability. I was told a complete replacement would be shipped, and I would receive it the following week. All at no additional charge, except I would need to use a return label, seal the torn box, and take to a UPS office for return shipment. No credit, discount, or incentive was mentioned, nor offered. Just wait until next week, rewrap torn box, and take time to deliver it to a UPS office. Horrible process and poor customer service. I would have offered some type of credit for my inconvenience, and have someone pick up the package instead of me having to take it to UPS.
Easy to install and works fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone needing to add a breakaway on boat trailer for space.
I have a 2012 Toyota Tundra and I recently bought a pre-owned Leer camper shell. I used this harness to wire up the third brake light. I also used the brake light module. This setup worked perfectly and resulted in a neat and clean professional installation. Thanks etrailer, you had everything I needed for a successful prefect installation.

Using etrailer was very easy. Was my first time ordering from them. Greg was knowledgeable and very helpful. Most of all, I had been searching for a bolt-on foldable hitch for over a week with everybody either out of stock or projected 8-10 week lead times......etrailer had the part I was looking for in stock. This has made my boat trailer easier to park because I can back into garage and fold away but is also locks up better. I would do it again if I replaced my trailer

Perfect
The kit was complete, easy to follow instructions. No more lifting and inserting removable old style tongue.
Install was easy, Now boat and trailer fit in garage, easy to swing into position, and swing back out of the way.
This is a great product. The extra room with the folding tongue, makes putting away the boat much simpler. When I was installing it, my cut on the tongue wasn't perfectly straight, but it was not a problem, the way the product is designed. I would recommend this over weld on conversions.
my boat is a tool for fishing . one problem with anything and it gets replaced. this product goes on all of my boat trailers.
Very impressed with product, excellent instruction included torx bit for installation and centering punch to mark holes, that was very thougtfull of Fulton. Used sawsall to cut 3x5 tounge on Shorelander trailer with very good success. The instant shipping from etrailer.com impressed me very much, Thank you, will order from again with out a second thought.

I actually ordered this like 4 months earlier online and was constantly told it was on back order from a different company. I cancelled order and ordered from ETRAILER and it was shipped within 24hrs and arrived just a couple days later. Everything arrived as ordered and will be mounting in the next week.
Great rugged product. Installation not the easiest. would suggest making center punch long enough so you can punch bottom of tongue so it can be drilled from the top on the boat side of the tongue.
Reason for the unit is to make clearance so I can fit both boat and car under canopy.
