Attaching the Titan Hydraulic Brake Line When Using Fulton Fold-Away Coupler
Question:
Hi. Im looking to order a 3 x 5 foldaway hitch bracket and had a question to ensure that I order everything I need to go with it. Your description states that I should also get the Titan Hydraulic Brake Line with Fittings - 25 Long. My question is, when I cut my current steel brake line, what size/type of fitting do I need to connect to the flexible line? It is my understanding that Ill need to flange and add some type of fitting to be able to connect the lines? Is that correct? Thank you.

When using the Titan Hydraulic Brake Line # T0980100, there are fittings included to attach to your current brake line.
One end of the brake line has a female fitting. This female fitting will attach to the male fitting on your brake line.
You would need to coil the existing steel brake line in trailer frame behind where the Fold-Away Coupler # FHDPB350101, installs. So basically the Titan Line is adding an extension to your current brake line so the trailer tongue can fold. The other end of the line connects to the master cylinder.
I have linked a picture showing the female end of the brake line.
If there is not too much excess line, and you do need to cut the line, you would remove the fitting that attaches to the master cylinder. To reattach the fitting you would need to use a double flare tool to flare the line and attach male fitting.
