Flexible Brake Line for a Trailer with a Folding Tongue Coupler

Question:

What flexible brake line parts should I order for adapting the Fulton hinge to my trailer? I currently have a SS brake line. The folding tongue portion will be 28inch long hinge to ball using a Titan Aero 7500 disc brake actuator with the T4748800 elec lockout kit. Should the flex line run from the actuator back to a compression/flare fitting back inside the trailer tongue behind the hinge?

Expert Reply:

The Titan brake line # T0980100 is 25 inches long and should work for you since you are adding the reverse electric lock out. You will want the flexible line to be long enough to not bind or put stress on the rest of the brake lines when the coupler is folded in. It will need to go from the back of the master cylinder, or in this case back of the lockout solenoid, past the hinge.
