Replacement Bunk Brackets for Older Grady White Seafarer Boat Trailer

Question:

Good Morning, I am rebuilding an older dual axle 4 bunk trailer that carries an older Grady White 22.5foot Seafaraer. I am not sure of the manufacturer and need to replace some of the brackets. Im having a hard time finding the exact tubular galvanized steel and am wondering if I could instead use the CE Smith Swivel Brackets or something like it. I have some pictures of my current setup that I would like to send your way?

Thank for the photos of your boat trailer!

The CE Smith Double U-Bolt Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies # CE10196G-4 that you referenced are a great option to replace the existing bunk system on your boat trailer. These bolster brackets and swivel bracket are both made from 7-Gauge, galvanized steel. The # CE10196G-4 have an overall height of 16-1/4 inches.

These brackets are available in different heights options to help accommodate the shape of the boat's hull. The four bracket height options are 9-1/4 inches # CE10190GA-4, 10-1/4 # CE10191GA-4, 12-1/4 # CE10192GA-4, and the 16-1/4 inch brackets you referenced. All of these bracket options use 7-Gauge galvanized steel. I spoke with my contact at CE Smith and confirmed that these bolster brackets will work well for your trailer.

To install the brackets, you will also need U-bolts. I recommend the CE Smith U-bolts, Galvanized # CE15283GA-8. This includes 8 U-bolts that measure 3-13/16 inches long x 3-1/16 inches wide x 1/2 inch diameter.

If you are simply looking for the swivel bracket portion, they are available individually # CE10206G and are made of 7-Gauge galvanized steel.
