These heavy-duty tie-downs help you secure you boat's transom (stern) to your trailer. Ratchets make it easy to tighten the straps precisely and maintain tension. Polyester webbing and corrosion-resistant steel hardware. 2,500 lbs Max load.

Features:

  • Tie-down straps let you firmly secure your boat's transom (stern) to your trailer
  • Ratchet mechanisms make it easy to tighten down and maintain tension on straps
    • Let you tighten straps precisely with no guesswork
    • Let you loosen straps instantly with quick-release levers
  • Zinc-coated steel ratchet and S-hooks are corrosion resistant
  • Strong polyester webbing is flexible, and weather resistant
  • Web pad under buckles and rubberized vinyl coating on top S-hooks help prevent scratches and scuffs

Specs:

  • Strap dimensions: 2" wide x 6' long
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 833 lbs
  • Maximum load (break strength): 2,500 lbs
  • Quantity: 2 transom straps
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

The transom (stern, or rear of your boat) provides important tie-down points for securing your boat to your trailer. These transom straps are intended to be part of a boat tie-down system, and they should always be used along with a bow strap and at least one gunwale strap, for safe trailering.

The gear-like ratcheting mechanisms on these transom straps let you provide just the right amount of tension needed to secure your boat's transom to your trailer, and each strap stays locked in place until you press its release lever.

To protect your boat's paint finish, the top S-hooks are coated with rubberized nylon and each ratchet buckle sits on a pad made from the same webbing used for the strap.

I replaced my old boat buckle with these and they seem well made but lack features of the old ones I replaced such as the The velcro strap to hold the extra strap and The thing that protects the hall where the strap goes against. I I had to put the ratchet on the bottom instead of the top Due to the fact it was too long

It sounds like you might be interested in the IMF17633 version that does have keepers for the additional strap length and a pads under the buckle to protect your boats finish.

Awesome, no suprises, works as expected. Both the boat trailer winch and heavy ratchet straps are awesome products

by:

Very good product. Replaced the inexpensive, quick buckle, transom straps that came with boat, with these heavy duty, ratchet type. Twice the working strength, heavier strap and hooks. Very well made. Peace of mind definately worth the cost.

by:

The ratchet boat tie downs work great and are still in service.

by:

Awesome- havent used the straps yet- but will be utilized to secure the bow of my 8600lb boat to the trailer. These appear to be good quality construction straps

by:

I had a great experience with the customer service team at etrailer - I dealt with two reps. I wasn't sure about which parts I'd need. They were quick and knowledgeable. Very refreshing in this age of offshoring to people who can barely speak english and know nothing about the products.

Highly recommend!

by:

  • Recommended Transom Tie-Downs For a 2,000LB Boat
I recommend using the BoatBuckle Heavy Duty Ratchet Transom Tie-Down Straps in either a 2' # IMF14206 4' # IMF14207 or 6' # IMF14208. You will want to find the appropriate length depending on your boat and trailer. These straps are all rated for 833lbs working load. With boat trailers and straps it is important to remember you are securing a heavy object to a lighter object. So with your boat weighing 2,000lbs your trailer is most likely around 500lbs which is well within the weight rating...

  • Determining Transom Straps Needed To Secure 5,000LB Boat To Trailer
The best way to determine the capacity needed to secure your 1973 Cruisers Bonozana is to remember you are securing the heavy boat to the lighter trailer. With the BoatBuckle Heavy Duty Ratchet Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF14208 you are looking at each strap has a working load limit of 833lbs. For the set that gives you a working load limit of 1,666lbs. As long as your trailer weighs less than 1,666lbs these straps are sufficient to secure your boat to the trailer. Remember to also account...

  • Picking Out Transom Strap for 2023 179FS Keywest Boat
For a boat as heavy as your 2023 179FS Keywest boat I would go with our higher rated transom straps like the BoatBuckle part # IMF14207 which are rated for 2,500 lb max load and are 4 foot long. This should be a long enough strap but we also have a 6 foot long version part # IMF14208 and a shorter 2 foot long strap part # IMF14206.

  • Transom Strap Recommendation for 3,000 lb Boat 800 lb Trailer
I would go with the higher rated BoatBuckle Heavy Duty Ratchet Transom Strap part # IMF14208 which has a working load limit of 833 lbs and 2,500 lb break strength. This would work better with your setup than the set you mentioned which are rated lower.

  • Transom Tie Down Strap Recommendation for 2006 BassTracker Pro Team 170 on 2006 Trailstar Trailer
I looked up your BassTracker Model Pro Team 170 boat and Trailstar trailer and it looks like a very standard boat and trailer so the BoatBuckle Heavy Duty Ratchet Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF14208 that you referenced would work great. I like the ones that mount to the trailer though and retract so that you don't have to worry about misplacing them. For that the part # IMF08893 would be a really great option.

  • Recommended Transom Straps For A 12K Boat On A 3K Triple Axle Trailer
Since you're only needing to match the weight of the trailer using multiple transom straps like the BoatBuckle Heavy Duty Ratchet Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF14208 along with the BoatBuckle G2 Retractable, Ratcheting Gunwale Tie-Down Straps # IMF14221 will put you over the weight of the trailer. These straps have a 2,500lb break strength and 833lb safe working weight capacity per strap.

  • Transom Tie-Down Straps for Boat That Weighs 2,500 lbs
For your 2,500 lb boat I recommend using BoatBuckle G2 Retractable, Ratcheting Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF08893 which each have a break strength of 2,500 lbs and will work since they are not going to be handling the full load of your boat at all times. These are 2" wide x 43" long straps so be sure that's the correct length for your boat and trailer; for a longer length you can use the 6' BoatBuckle Transom Tie-Downs # IMF14208. You will also need guanwale tie-down straps and I recommend...

  • Recommended Boat Tie-Down Straps for 2,000 lb Trailer and 8,700 lb Boat
When choosing tie-downs for your 8,700 lb boat and 2,000 lb trailer, the most important thing is to get tie-downs that have a break strength which exceeds the 2,000 lb weight of your trailer. Doing so will keep your boat on your trailer when you run over the inevitable potholes when driving to your fishing destination. I recommend checking out the BoatBuckle G2 Retractable, Ratcheting Bow Tie-Down Strap # IMF14220, Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF08893 or # IMF14208 and Gunwale Tie-Down Straps...
