For your 2,500 lb boat I recommend using BoatBuckle G2 Retractable, Ratcheting Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF08893 which each have a break strength of 2,500 lbs and will work since they are not going to be handling the full load of your boat at all times. These are 2" wide x 43" long straps so be sure that's the correct length for your boat and trailer; for a longer length you can use the 6' BoatBuckle Transom Tie-Downs # IMF14208.

You will also need guanwale tie-down straps and I recommend using the BoatBuckle G2 Retractable, Ratcheting Gunwale Tie-Down Straps # IMF14221. These also have a 2,500 lb break strength each and the straps are 2" wide x 38" long, fitting gunwales that are 2" wide or less.

Additionally, we do recommend using Anti-Seize # LT37616 to ensure that the nuts are properly tightened down over the bolts.
