Video Transcript for Review of TecNiq Boat Lights - Pedestal Mount LED Flood Beam Spreader Light 1450 Lumen - TN58RR

Hi everybody. My name is Andy with the etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna be taking a look at this pedestal mount LED flood beam boat spreader light. Now, this heavy-duty LED spreader light will produce a bright white light to illuminate your boat's deck, lighting up a wide area. Let me give you a brief demonstration of what this light looks like lit up. Keeping my studio lights on, you can see just how bright this light is.

Let me go ahead and turn my lights off. And you can see, especially against my white table, just the wide light that it casts on my table. And then let me go ahead and back up the angle of my camera to a wide view, and I'm gonna shine this light on the wall behind me. And again, that just gives you an idea of how bright and how wide this light shines. This light output is gonna be 1,450 lumens with 50,000 hours of operation.

The four white LEDs are sealed in a waterproof housing and a clear lens unit. So, I'm just keeping this on here with my studio lights on just so you can continue to see how bright this is. Now, the LEDs are premium LEDs, and they are gonna be energy efficient, long-lasting, and vibration resistant. Now, this does have an IP rating of 68. So, what that means for you is that it's going to resist dust, and dirt, and sand, and it's going to be resistant to submersion up to a maximum depth of, a depth of 1.5 meters underwater for up to 30 minutes.

Now, the circuit board within is of a military-grade construction, so that adds to the durability of this light. And the urethane potting offers a better heat protection than the common epoxy potting. Speaking of heat, this has thermal regulation, so this is going to protect this light against overheating. And it has a very nice, durable white powder coated aluminum housing, so that's going to be lightweight. Again, very durable, and it's gonna resist rust and corrosion.

This light will be compatible with your 12 volt and your 24 volt DC systems. And this is going to be really an easy installation on your boat. This is, comes with installation hardware for a, a pedestal style mount. So, you're gonna have your single bolt installation. And this installation hardware is stainless steel, so that is also going to go a long way in resisting corrosion. And when you do have this mounted on your boat, this is going to be adjustable. So, you'll be able to adjust that light once it is mounted. Again, this is gonna be a hardwire installation, a two-wire installation. The white wire will be power, the black wire will be your ground. Let me go ahead and give you some overall measurements here. So, looking at the overall length of this light, we are gonna be sitting right at about 4 7/8 inches across. And then looking at its width, I'm gonna try to get right at the, the widest point there, we're gonna be sitting right at about an inch and 5/8 wide. Then the overall thickness, I'm gonna include the area there where the mounting bracket is attached to. We're gonna be sitting right at two inches, right at two inches. Line that up here. There we go. Right at two inches. So again, you have four diodes in this light. And the input voltage is gonna be nine to 30 volts. And the power draw at 12 volts is going to be 1.2 amps. And at 24 volts, it is going to be .8 amps. Now, the included wire here runs about 7 1/2 inches long. And this light does have a limited lifetime warranty. Now, if you're looking for a similar light but you're interested in not only the white LEDs but red LEDs as well, let me recommend you take a look at item number TN38RR. That is gonna be a very, that's gonna be very similar to this light, but it's gonna have both the red and the white LEDs. The lumens are a little bit less. The lumens will be at 825, 825 lumens. Whereas, this is gonna be 1,450 lumens. Well, I think that's gonna conclude our look today at this pedestal mount LED flood beam boat spreader light. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..

I am a bit reluctant to give a 5 o/o 5 right of the bat, but the lights seem perfect for lights in the spreaders. As a recommendation, I would suggest to secure the hardware before shipping it, since it was rolling around in the box and prone to get lost. The lights work, and put out a decent amount of light. One of the lights had a manufacturing problem that a piece of junk got stuck between the cooling fins before it was powder coated, and now can’t be removed without jeopardizing the integrity of the coat. This far, this is the best price I have seen for these type of lights.

  • Does The LED Boat Spreader Light # TN58RR Use a Flood Or Spot Beam?
In the video for the LED Boat Spreader Light # TN58RR which I have linked below the back wall is only a few feet from the back wall. This light uses a flood style beam to project light out over a large area. To compare I have linked our review video of the SteelHead LED Work Light # TN66RR below which uses a spot type beam. You can see in the video this one has a much more target beam.
