Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this pedestal mount, red and white LED, flood beam boat spreader light. Now, this LED boat spreader light is going to produce a bright, white light and a soft, red light as you can see right here that's going to light up your boat deck and it's gonna light up a wide area for you. Now, we do have these premium LEDs that are energy efficient. They're gonna be long-lasting and vibration resistant.
Right now, I have the red LEDs powered on, so you can just see how bright they are. Let me go ahead and turn my studio lights off and you can get a better idea of the brightness of these lights. The red LEDs have a 160 lumen light output. Let me go ahead and go to my wide angle here. And while my camera tries to focus, I'm gonna shine this on my table just so you can see the spread of light, and then on the wall behind me.
So, it's a really nice, soft, red light. And it's gonna offer moderate visibility without interfering with natural night vision. And then let me switch this to the white light. A little bit brighter as you can see. Trying not to cross my wires here.
And again, I'll do the same demonstration here. Shine this on the table. And the white light has a light output of 825 lumens. And the white flood beam is gonna produce, or give you a wide area of visibility on your sailboat. So, these LEDs are rated up to 50,000 hours of operation.
And let me go ahead and turn my studio lights back on just so you can see how bright this is, even with my lights on. So, pretty bright. And I think it's gonna do a great job for you if this is the type of light that you are looking for. Now, we have four LEDs as you can see. Two of them are white, two of them are red. They are sealed in a waterproof housing and a clear lens unit. This has an IP rating of 68, meaning that it's fit enough to withstand dust, dirt and sand. And it's resistant to submersion up to a maximum depth of 1.5 meters underwater for up to 30 minutes. This features a military grade construction of the circuit board. And the urethane potting offers better heat protection than common epoxy potting. The thermal regulation protects against overheating. And the anodized aluminum, and impact resistant polycarbonate housing, and the UV resistant lens are sealed for a waterproof unit. The construction ensures function in extreme circumstance. And the white powder coating is going to prevent corrosion. Now, this is gonna hardwire to your 12 volt and 20 volt, 24 volt rather, DC systems. And this is going to be an easy installation. It's a single-bolt pedestal style bracket with stainless steel hardware that comes with this light for installation. And this adjustable bracket is going to allow you to adjust the light, the angle of the light in whatever way that you need it. Now, let me pull out my ruler here just to give you some overall measurements, so you can be sure that this is going to work for you. The overall length, we are sitting pretty close to, I'm gonna say it's a little over 4 3/4. Let's say, about 4 7/8 inches long. The width, we are sitting pretty close to 1 5/8 inches. And then the thickness, we are looking pretty close, let me get that up for you, pretty close to two inches deep. And the bolt dimensions, it's a quarter of an inch in diameter and about 5/8 of an inch long. So, the input voltage is gonna be nine to 30 volts. And the wire length is about 7 1/2 inches or so. And this does have a limited lifetime warranty. And again, as we saw, this will give you a red and white light. But if you're just looking for something that's very close to this and you're not needing the red light, we do also carry this light in just the white light. White powder coated aluminum housing is designed to function in extreme environments.I am a bit reluctant to give a 5 o/o 5 right of the bat, but the lights seem perfect for lights in the spreaders. As a recommendation, I would suggest to secure the hardware before shipping it, since it was rolling around in the box and prone to get lost. The lights work, and put out a decent amount of light. One of the lights had a manufacturing problem that a piece of junk got stuck between the cooling fins before it was powder coated, and now can’t be removed without jeopardizing the integrity of the coat. This far, this is the best price I have seen for these type of lights.
