Today, we're going to be taking a look at the TecNiq LED docking light for pontoon boats. Now what this's gonna do is give you some better visibility. If you're taking your pontoon boat out for an evening boat ride, it gets a little bit dark. And when you're bringing it back to pull in and dock it, you wanna be able to see. It's gonna give you that better visibility in those hard to see conditions. And the nice thing about this is it's LED.

The LEDs are highly efficient, rated up for 100,000 hours of use and put out 450 lumens. So it's gonna give you some really nice light and last you for a long time. And they sealed waterproof housing with a clear lens right here, that's also sealed and waterproof. That's kind of house three diodes inside. That's what's gonna put out the light.

And then it has a urethane potting rather than epoxy potting. So that's going to be more durable, give you a better protection, give you good vibration resistance, that sort of thing. Now it is mostly plastic construction, but there are some stainless steel elements in there. So you won't have to worry about any sort of rust or corrosion, especially since it's gonna be on or near the water all the time. You want it to hold up to that.

It's going to be compatible with 12 volt DC systems and have this two wire installation here on the back, so your power and ground. It is a hardwired installation with that. And then it's gonna be surface mounted. So you've got this cover here. If I just popped that off like that, we exposed these two mounting holes right here in here on the outside.

It's gonna let you Mount it up. The hardware is not included, so you have to pick up your own. So just keep that in mind. Those mounting holes are 3 1/8 of an inch apart. From here over to here, center on center with those holes there. And then once you've got it mounted up, that cover just pops right back on into place. Just like that, giving you that nice seal. It also does have this foam steel here that will go on before you do your installation mounting. That's gonna basically sit between your boat and the light and help seal things up a little bit more, provide some vibration dampening, that sort of thing. Now, overall dimensions of this unit here, get the measuring stick here. Now, lengthwise, it's going to be 3 5/8 of an inch long. Widthwise, it's going to be 1 1/4 inch wide. And then overall thickness here, it's going to be pretty thin. We're sitting right at about 7/16 of an inch thick. That's pretty small, a good small footprints. That's another nice thing about LEDs is they don't take up much space for the amount of light that they put out. Now it has an input voltage of nine to 14 volts, a power draw of .225 to .275 amps and has an IP68 water rating. That about does it for a look at the TecNiq LED docking light for pontoon boats.
