Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're taking a quick look at the replacement brake shoe kit. This allows you to swap out a worn out brake shoe kit for the left hand of the driver's side of your braking assembly. Whenever you're doing this, it's a good idea to get the other shoe for the other side of your vehicle as well. You want to replace all four at the same time to ensure that those braking pads are wearing at the same rate. That way you're not getting different performance out of each side of your vehicle.Make sure that you're getting one for either side.
That part for the passenger side or the right hand assembly is listed on the product page here at etrailer.com. Go ahead and check that out while you're here. But as far as what comes in our kit, we'll get the two sides of our brake shoes. These are going to have that brake lining there. The way to tell which one goes on the front and which one goes on the back, if you look, you can see that one is longer than the other.
The shorter of the two goes on the front. The longer goes on the rear.Whenever you're replacing this, you will want to save your adjuster screw and also the adjuster spring from your original brake assembly. Then you'll have the hardware here. We'll have two springs, the keepers, and pins to get that installed on your brake shoe assembly. These work for the 10-inch by one and a half inch Dexter never adjust electric brakes.
Again, this is for the driver's side. These are made in the USA, and they have an axle rating of up to 3,000 pounds.That's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the replacement brake shoes for your never adjust electric brakes.
