Replacement Brake Shoes For Dexter 5,200lb Axle With 12"x 2" Electric Brakes

Question:

Are these the correct shoes for a 5200lb dexter axle with 12x2inch electric brakes? description says 7000lb... but I would guess that all the 12x2 shoes are the same?

The Replacement Shoe and Lining Kit for Dexter 12" x 2" Electric Brake Assembly # DX28FR is actually designed to fit the 6,000lb and 7,000lb capacity Dexter Axles, and will not work for your 5,200lb axle, however I do have a solution.

Instead, you'll want to use the Replacement Shoe and Lining Kit for 12" Manual-Adjust Brake Assembly # AKBRKR-S-12. These brake shoes are designed to work with 5,200lb-7,000lb axles, and is compatible with most manufacturers like AxleTek, Dexter, Lippert (LCI), IAC, and AL-KO.

This kit includes 2 brake shoes with lining, 2 Hold-down springs, and 2 hold-down pins.
