Does Lining of the Replacement Brake Shoe and Lining Kit AKBRKR-S-12 Go Around Entire Drum
Question:
Is the lining 12inch on each shoe? I have seen shoes with only 9inch of lining on shoes- 24inch less lining on 2 axes. I dont want shoes with short lining

Helpful Expert Reply:
The replacement shoe and lining kit part # AKBRKR-S-12 has brake pad material/lining that will make a lot of contact with the drum but it does not go all the way around the drum. I'd say about 90 percent of the drum will make contact with the lining and these are not the short lining shoes that you mentioned. The linings/shoes you are thinking of are for free-backing brake assemblies.
